    • The inkjet recording method includes: a treatment liquid depositing step of applying treatment liquid onto a recording medium on a treatment liquid drum; an image forming step of ejecting ink from a line inkjet head to deposit the ink onto the recording medium on which the treatment liquid has been deposited on a circumferential surface of an image formation drum, the ink containing at least a resin dispersant (A), a pigment (B) that is dispersed by the resin dispersant (A), self-dispersible polymer micro-particles (C) and an aqueous liquid medium (D), the ink having one of a solid component that is aggregated upon making contact with the treatment liquid and a solid component that is precipitated upon making contact with the treatment liquid; and a drying step of drying a solvent in the ink having been deposited on the recording medium on a drying drum.

    • The method forms an image using an inkjet recording apparatus, which includes: an image formation unit having a line head type inkjet head disposed opposite a circumferential surface of an image formation drum, the inkjet head depositing the aqueous ink onto the recording medium while the recording medium is held and conveyed in rotation on the circumferential surface of the image formation drum; and a drying unit arranged on a downstream side of the image formation unit, the drying unit having a drying device disposed opposite a circumferential surface of a drying drum, the drying device drying a solvent in the aqueous ink deposited on the recording medium, the drying unit drying the solvent by means of the drying device while the recording medium is held and conveyed in rotation on the circumferential surface of the drying drum; using, as the recording medium, a special paper which is a recording medium successively laminated from a base paper, a first layer containing a binder and a second layer containing a white pigment, the base paper with the first layer provided thereon having a Cobb water absorbency of not higher than 5.0 g/m2 with a contact time of 15 seconds based on a water absorbency test stipulated in JIS P8140, and the second layer having a water absorption amount of not lower than 2 ml/m2 and not higher than 8 ml/m2 with a contact time of 0.5 seconds according to Bristow's method, and having a layer surface pH of not higher than 5.5 after pH adjustment.

    • The method forms an image by directly depositing aqueous ink ejected from an inkjet recording apparatus onto a recording medium. The method comprises: using, as the inkjet recording apparatus, an apparatus including: an image formation unit having a line head type inkjet head disposed opposite a circumferential surface of an image formation drum, the inkjet head depositing the aqueous ink onto the recording medium while the recording medium is held and conveyed in rotation on the circumferential surface of the image formation drum; and a drying unit arranged on a downstream side of the image formation unit, the drying unit having a drying device disposed opposite a circumferential surface of a drying drum, the drying device drying a solvent in the aqueous ink deposited on the recording medium, the drying unit drying the solvent by means of the drying device while the recording medium is held and conveyed in rotation on the circumferential surface of the drying drum; using, as the recording medium, a special paper which is a recording medium successively laminated from a base paper, a first layer containing a binder and a second layer containing a white pigment, the base paper with the first layer provided thereon having a Cobb water absorbency of not higher than 5.0 g/m2 with a contact time of 15 seconds based on a water absorbency test stipulated in JIS P8140, and the second layer having a water absorption amount of not lower than 2 ml/m2 and not higher than 8 ml/m2 with a contact time of 0.5 seconds according to Bristow's method, and having a layer surface pH of not higher than 5.5 after pH adjustment; and using, as the aqueous ink, a special ink containing at least a resin dispersant (A), a pigment (B) that is dispersed by the resin dispersant (A), self-dispersible polymer micro-particles (C) and an aqueous liquid medium (D).

    • An image forming system includes: a recording medium which has a roll shape and is manufactured so as to have both edges curling in a direction opposite to a roll surface of the recording medium; an image forming device which forms an image on the recording medium conveyed along a conveyance path; a recording medium feeder in which the recording medium having the roll shape is loaded in such a manner that the recording medium having the roll shape is conveyed while the roll surface of the recording medium faces the image forming device; a rear end cutter for cutting the recording medium having the roll shape on which the image forming device has formed an image on the roll surface at a position posterior to the formed image; a reverse conveyance path in which the recording medium, on the roll surface of which the image has been formed and which has been cut by the rear end cutter, is reversed in terms of front and back surfaces of the recording medium; and a decurl device for reversing a curl direction of the recording medium which has been reversed in terms of the front and back surfaces and is conveyed in the reverse conveyance path, wherein images are formed on the front and back surfaces of the recording medium by forming an image on the front surface of the recording medium having the roll shape, cutting the recording medium at the position posterior to the image, reversing the recording medium in terms of the front and back surfaces, reversing curl of the edges of the recording medium in an opposite direction by the decurl device, and then forming an image on the back surface of the recording medium.
