摘要： An ultrasound imaging system having an ultrasonic probe including an array of ultrasonic transducers is provided. The imaging system further includes a plurality of interconnect channels for enabling optical communication of the ultrasonic probe with an imaging console. Each interconnect channel includes a quantum-well device having a terminal electrically coupled to receive an electrical signal from a corresponding transducer. The quantum well device is further configured to receive and process an input optical signal to supply a modulated optical signal in response to amplitude variation of the electrical signal. An optical cable assembly is coupled to transmit from the imaging console the optical input signal received by the quantum-well device.

摘要： Carbon dioxide molecules can be fixed by growing plants through plant photosynthesis. When the photons that cause the plant synthesis are properly tuned to enhance plant photosynthesis and are generated by a combination of a solar panel of carbon footprint below a threshold and a LED light source of carbon footprint below a threshold and conversion efficiency above a threshold, more CO2 molecule will be fix by the plant photosynthesis than emitted by the system.

摘要： A net amount of carbon dioxide in earth's atmosphere can be reduced by a system that combines solar panels that are capable of converting sun light into electricity and LED light sources which are tuned to emit photons with wavelength concentrated around 460 nm or 650 nm or around both wavelengths. The LED light sources are configured to be able to direct the emitted photons towards growing plants, which through photosynthesis convert carbon dioxide molecules into bio-mess.

摘要： An optical interface for data communication that can be manufactured and aligned in a cost effective manner includes an array of optical emitters and an optical receiver are positioned within a predetermined tolerance with reference to each other so as to establish an optical data communication path. To search for and determine which of the emitters of the array achieves the best alignment, the optical emitters are individually energized in a sequence, while monitoring the output signal of the optical receiver. For subsequent data communications, the optical emitter determined to achieve the best alignment is employed.
