    • A data communication device is provided wherein a data storage region and a process request region indicative of whether or not there is a process request of data transmission are secured on a memory. A data transmission section receives a request for data transmission from a transmission module to store data in the data storage region and, only when a process request is not yet written in the process request region, writes a process request in the process request region to issue an interrupt to a process request receiving section. The process request receiving section confirms that a process request is written in the process request region and clears the process request to notify a reception module about data storage in the data storage region. A data acquisition section receives a request for data reception from the reception module to acquire data from the data storage region.

    • For a method fabricating a dihedral corner reflector array optical element, a molding die having a reversal shape of the prism bodies is used. Each prism body has a frustum shape having an end plane whose area is smaller than that of the base plane side of the substrate. Each prism body is composed of a rectangular parallelepiped portion including the orthogonal plane sides to be a dihedral corner reflector and a taper portion integrated therewith having sides being non-parallel to the orthogonal plane sides. The method includes clamping the molding die to define a cavity therein; forming the optical element made from molten resin in the cavity; and parting the optical element from the molding die. The molding dies are relatively moved in a parting direction that the molding die leaves the orthogonal plane sides before anything else to part the optical element.

    • A document management system for managing a document together with property information thereof in a folder can respond to various user's needs by providing some latitude with the property information. When the document management system detects some actions related to a document registering operation with a designated folder by a user, the document management system starts a template attaching process for attaching a template (property information) associated with the designated folder to a newly registered document. Even if a plurality of templates are provided to the folder, the document management system can attach all the templates to the document. In detail, the document management system reads templates in a template information table based on template IDs obtained from a folder-template correspondence table and then provides the read templates to the document to be processed. When the document is in another folder and is copied to a destination folder, the document management system associates templates attached to the source document with the destination folder and then attaches the document to the templates.
