    • A digital-to-analog converter (DAC) is provided for converting an (X+Y)-bit input word, which includes an X-bit MSB subword and a Y-bit LSB subword, into a current signal. The DAC has an X-bit voltage DAC section and a Y-bit current DAC section. The X-bit voltage DAC section generates an intermediate voltage corresponding to the X-bit MSB subword. The Y-bit current DAC section generates a reference current corresponding to the intermediate voltage and outputs the current signal derived by multiplying the reference current by a factor corresponding to the Y-bit LSB subword. In addition, a method for digital-to-analog conversion of an (X+Y)-bit input word into a current signal is also provided.

    • A gamma correction device and method for a display device are provided, which requires fewer look-up tables and small-size driving voltage generating circuits to generate three sets of driving voltages. A plurality of difference values between three gamma curves R, G, and B and a reference curve is stored in the look-up table. According to the look-up table, a selection signal SEL is obtained based on a gray scale signal. Moreover, a most significant bit (MSB) signal is extracted from the gray scale signal. Then, several analog voltages are generated from a voltage source through voltage division. After that, the selection signal and the MSB signal are decoded so as to select one from the analog voltages and convert to a driving voltage. The driving voltage is used to drive the display device.

    • A source driver comprises a plurality of current-driving units, each of which includes a digital to analog converter (DAC), an operational amplifier, a first and second current source, a resistor, and a current mirror unit. The DAC converts programming data to an analog signal. The operational amplifier receives and amplifies the analog signal output from the DAC. The first current source generates a first current according to the amplified analog signal. The resistor is used to supply a feedback path from a reference voltage to the operational amplifier. The second current source outputs a second current according to a control signal generated by the display data. The current mirror unit mirrors a data current according to the sum of the first and second current to drive an organic light-emitting diode (OLED).

    • An AMOLED panel includes an AMOLED pixel unit, a scan driving unit and a data driving unit. The scan driving unit is coupled to the AMOLED pixel unit. The data driving unit comprises a reference current source circuit, (N+1) mirror output circuits and (N+1) switch elements. The reference current source circuit is for providing a reference current.
