    • In a gate drive circuit including stages which are cascaded and which output gate signals each of the stages includes a first node, an output part, a first holding part and a second holding part. A voltage of the first node is converted to a high voltage in response to one of a vertical start signal and a carry signal of one of previous stages. The output part outputs a first clock signal as a gate signal through an output terminal in response to the high voltage of the first node. The first holding part applies a first low voltage to the output terminal, in response to a gate signal output from at least one of following stages. The second holding part applies a second low voltage, which is less than the first low voltage, to the first node in response to a gate signal output from at least one stage among following stages.

    • A method of driving a display panel includes generating a gate on voltage, a first gate off voltage and a second gate off voltage. A clock signal is generated based upon the gate on voltage and the second gate off voltage. A first panel gate off voltage substantially the same as the first gate off voltage and a second panel gate off voltage substantially the same as the second gate off voltage are generated in a first operating mode. A first panel gate off voltage greater than the first gate off voltage and a second panel gate off voltage greater than the second gate off voltage are generated in a second operating mode. A gate signal is generated based upon the clock signal and the first and second panel gate off voltages to a gate line of the display panel.

    • A gate drive portion for a display device including multiple pixels having first and second sub-pixels includes a first shift register generating a first output signal in response to a first gate clock signal, a second shift register generating a second output signal in response to a second gate clock signal, a level shifter coupled to the first and second shift registers and amplifying the first and second output signals, and an output buffer coupled to the level shifter and generating first and second gate signals. The first gate signal is generated in synchronization with the first gate clock signal and the second gate signal is generated in synchronization with the second gate clock signal. Accordingly, the charging time of the first and second sub-pixels may be improved by separately driving the odd-numbered and even-numbered sub-pixels and the visibility of the LCD device may also be improved.

    • A driver circuit drives display device and LCD device has a driver circuit that includes driving stages and dummy stage. The driving stage includes output and control terminals. The output terminal of the present stage is connected to the control terminal of the previous state to be cascade-connected each other.
