摘要： Starting performance is improved by efficient UV-light irradiation, suppressing creeping discharge or atmospheric discharge at the outside of a glow discharge tube, and preventing cracks in a pinch seal portion even when an external force is exerted in the direction of bending a lead. In a discharge tube for emitting a UV-light, a light emitting chamber is formed on one side of a pinch seal portion for sealing an electrode assembly, and a lead protrusion port is formed on the opposite side thereof while pinching the seal portion, the lead protrusion port is formed as a sleeve having a predetermined gap relative to the lead, an external electrode disposed to the outside of the light emitting chamber includes a hold formed by bending fabrication of a metal plate.

摘要： A convection flow heat exchanger comprises peripherally flanged upper and lower manifolds 14, 15 connected between a transformer housing 2 and an array of parallel heat exchanging plates 12 having internal fluid passages. The manifolds have openings 16 which mate with correspondingly configured openings 13 in upper and lower corners of the plates. This arrangement eliminates bottlenecks in and simplifies the cooling fluid flow path, and enables the effective heat exchange area to be increased.

摘要： A ring network switching apparatus connects a plurality of communication nodes by a duplex ring type transmission line. Respective communication nodes autonomously vary respective connection state by respective transmission line switching means based on the control data received from the control data receiving unit. Respective communication nodes transmit the control information designating a new transmission line state from the control information transmission unit. Thereby, respective communication nodes autonomously recover its failure and perform a re-construction of a network without an aid of a parent station. Further, the transmission data from the communication node is outputted to both transmission lines through a hybrid output section. Thus, respective communication nodes merely observe the state of the transmission line on the receiving side and switch the receiving switching means based on the observation. Therefore, the connection state of respective communication nodes can autonomously change, thereby providing a re-construction of a network at a high speed and simplifying a control circuit thereof.

摘要： Provided is a manufacturing method to prevent devitrification of a bulb in a high pressure discharge lamp used for a projector. The method is for manufacturing a high pressure discharge lamp which uses, as a light source, a bulb made of fused quartz and including a tungsten electrode, and which is horizontally installed when the lamp is driven for actual use. The method includes the step of initially driving the bulb with an optical axis thereof being set horizontally before the high pressure discharge lamp is shipped. In the initial driving step, the rotation angle around the optical axis of the bulb is offset by 45° or more and 135° or less relative to the rotation angle around the optical axis of the bulb when the lamp is driven for actual use.
