摘要： Disclosed is a system and a method of signal transmission/reception by a mobile station in a wireless communication system. The method includes: transmitting a first sub-band preparation indicator, which indicates that the mobile station has been prepared for transmission/reception of a signal through a first sub-band, to a base station through a primary band; transmitting a first sub-band failure indicator to the base station through the primary band upon detecting failure in transmitting the first sub-band preparation indicator; receiving sub-band information on a second sub-band, which is different from the first sub-band, from the BS through the primary band; and acquiring synchronization with the second sub-band, so as to enable transmission/reception of a signal through the second sub-band based on the sub-band information.

摘要： Data retransmission apparatus and method in a wireless relay communication system are provided. It is checked whether an Acknowledgement (ACK) message or a Negative ACK (NACK) message for data is received from a Relay Station (RS), which receives the data from a Mobile Station (MS). Scheduling information for transmitting the data is transmitted to the RS, when the ACK message is received from the RS. Errors are checked for in of the data, when the data is received from the RS. The RS is requested to retransmit the data, when the data has an error. Accordingly, since the RS retransmits only the error-free data to the BS, the BS can enhance the data reliability.

A mobile station (MS) attempting to establish P2P communication receives a P2P amble signal transmitted on at least one adjacent P2P link, measures a signal strength for the P2P amble signal, reports the measurement results to a base station (BS), and performs the P2P communication using a P2P resource that is assigned by the ES according to the measurement results. The ES assigns a resource different from the resource assigned to a P2P link having a highest signal strength measured, as a resource for the P2P communication, thereby preventing possible interference caused by adjacent P2P links.

摘要： A method of orthogonalizing signals transmitted from a BS in an OFDMA system, at a transmitting end, includes a) performing encoding, interleaving and modulation on original information bits; b) allocating sub-carriers with equivalent intervals to a sub-channel, and dividing channels into two parts of a cell edge user channel and a center area channel; c) mapping modulated information symbols to the corresponding sub-carriers; d) performing orthogonalizing processing on the two parts of channels; e) for a user at an edge of the cell, according to result of step b), dividing an OFDM symbol into subsections of equal length; f) multiplying the subsections obtained from step e) by a corresponding orthogonalizing sequence of the cell; g) adding the OFDM symbols of the two parts together to form a whole OFDM symbol; h) adding a cyclic prefix for the system; and i) performing D/A conversion, RF processing and feedback over a transmitting antenna on a base-band signal.
