    • A manufacturing method of a liquid crystal display device includes steps of forming liquid crystal display by patterning the passivation layer and the gate insulating layer by using the black matrix as an etching mask to expose the portion of the drain electrode, the gate pad, and the data pad, forming a first transparent conductive layer on the black matrix, wherein the first transparent conductive layer contacts the portion of the drain electrode, the gate pad, and the data pad, forming a color filter layer on the first transparent conductive layer in the opening, forming a second transparent conductive layer on the color filter layer, the second transparent conductive layer contacting the first transparent conductive layer, and forming a pixel electrode, a gate pad terminal and a data pad terminal by patterning the first and second transparent conductive layers, wherein the pixel electrode is disposed in the pixel area, the gate pad terminal is disposed on the gate pad, and the data pad terminal is disposed on the data pad.

    • A method of fabricating a transflective type liquid crystal display device includes: forming gate and data lines with a gate insulating layer therebetween on a substrate and crossing each other to define a pixel region that includes a switching region, a reflective region, and a transmissive region; forming a thin film transistor corresponding to the switching region and connected to the gate and data lines; forming a first passivation layer on the thin film transistor; forming a reflective plate on the first passivation layer in the reflective region; forming a second passivation layer on the reflective plate; forming a pixel electrode on the second passivation layer and connected to a drain electrode of the thin film transistor; forming a third passivation layer on the pixel electrode.

    • A liquid crystal display includes: first and second substrates with a transmissive region and a reflective region defined thereon; a reflection layer formed at the reflective region of the first substrate; a liquid crystal layer formed between the first and second substrates; a common electrode formed on the second substrate; an alignment layer formed on the second substrate and rubbed in one direction; a pixel electrode formed on the first substrate to form an electric field together with the common electrode to drive the liquid crystal layer, and having at least one electric field controller to control the direction of the electric field; and a vertical alignment layer formed on the first substrate.
