摘要： A hair iron is provided which includes a hair curling body having an outer peripheral surface on which hairs are wound, a clip for holding the hairs between the inner surface of the clip and the outer peripheral surface of the hair curling body and a heater for heating the hair curling body. The clip is made of low heat conductive materials. A plurality of rib-shaped guards, which extend in a circumferential direction of the hair curling body, are provided at least on an area of the outer peripheral surface of the hair curling body other than the area facing the clip. The guards are made of low heat conductive materials. The guards are disposed at certain spaced intervals in an axial direction of the hair curling body. The guards are connected by connecting rods which are buried in the hair curling body such that upper surfaces of the guards are positioned so as to be at the same level as or below the outer peripheral surface of the hair curling body so that the connecting rods never cause hairs to be displaced from the outer peripheral surface of the hair curling body and prevent hairs from clinging to the rods.

摘要： A hair styling iron having an elongated barrel having a front end and a rear end, the barrel including a heat plate with a corrugated surface composed of a plurality of concavities and convexities arranged along a direction transverse to the length of the barrel and extending along the length of the barrel, the heat plate formed with a plurality of steam vents; a hand grip extending from the rear end of the barrel; a heater mounted in the barrel to heat the heat plate; a steam generator incorporated in the barrel to generate steam which is discharged from the steam vents; and a hair clamping member pivoted at a connection between the barrel and the hand grip for pivotal movement between a closed position of mating with the heat plate and an open position disengaged from the heat plate. The steam vents are provided exclusively at the bottom of the concavities between the convexities and are covered by the hair clamping member, the concavities being closed at a lengthwise end of the heat plate adjacent to the front end of the barrel with a leakage stopper for preventing leakage of the steam outwardly of the heat plate towards the front end of the barrel.

摘要： Marks are recorded on an optical disk which is rotated at a constant rotational speed by laser light which is converged on a substantially circular spot. The pulse width of a recording pulse is set at a sufficiently narrow value and the recording power of the laser light is maintained at a constant value. Marks (corresponding to "1") are recorded on the entire disk surface by the laser light with the same recording pulse width and with the same recording power. The recording pulse width is less than about 30% of the mark interval obtained when they are recorded on the optical disk at the highest density. The recording power is set at the value which produces the maximum reproduction amplitude when said marks are recorded on the optical disk at the highest density.
