摘要： A moving image processor includes a first and a second moving image processing unit which are able to perform parallel operation, and a data transfer unit having a first buffer and a second buffer. The first moving image processing unit processes macroblocks MB00, - - - , of one row of one image sequentially, and the second moving image processing unit processes macroblocks MB10, - - - , of the next row sequentially. The first and the second moving image processors include a first and a second deblocking filters, respectively. Operation timing of the second filter is delayed by the processing time of two macroblocks, compared with operation timing of the first filter. The processing results of the first filter and the second filter are transferred to an external memory via the first buffer and the second buffer of the transfer unit.

The apparatus includes a unit for acquiring the subtitle data from the movie data and a unit for chaptering the movie data. The chaptering unit detects sections designated not to display text data in the subtitle data for predetermined time or longer, based on the subtitle data acquired by the subtitle data acquisition unit, and sets, as chapter starting points, ending points of sections designated not to display text data in the subtitle data for predetermined time or longer.

摘要： In order to transfer an image encoded at a high compression rate and suitably increase the resolution of the transferred image, it is provided an image transfer system, comprising: an image transmission unit that transmits an image; and an image reception unit that receives the image transmitted from the image transmission unit. The image transmission unit scales down the image, and transmits the scaled-down image to the image reception unit. The image reception unit calculates an angle between a line displayed in the image transmitted from the image transmission unit and a horizontal direction of the image in correspondence with pixels included in the image, scales up the image transmitted from the image transmission unit, and removes an aliasing component of the scaled-up image based on the calculated angle.

摘要： In a video recorder, closed caption sentence data is outputted by analyzing digital broadcasting data including closed caption information. Index data is generated on the basis of a feature extraction rule and the effectiveness of an appearing keyword by analyzing closed caption sentence data. Closed caption feature data including a type of a closed caption sentence and a display time is generated by analyzing a closed caption ES (Elementary Stream). The broadcasting data is stored as record data, the closed caption feature data is analyzed, chapter data for reproducing a program is generated by a chapter designated by the user, and the chapter data is outputted to a storage. In the case of recording and reproducing the digital broadcasting program, it is possible to perform both the reproduction by the optimal index using the closed caption and the reproduction by the keyword voluntarily inputted by the user.

摘要： A telop recognition method is provided which, during a telop recognition operation, can correct an error, if any, in the recognition operation without loading dictionaries of unnecessary character type into memory and which, when the telop recognition is performed again, does not have to initiate the telop recognition operation from the start. The telop area extraction unit and the character extraction unit are operated to generate character image data, which is temporarily stored. The dictionary data selection unit selects dictionary data corresponding to a program category. By using the character image data and the dictionary data, a character recognition operation is executed to produce candidate character strings. The telop information generation unit processes the candidate character strings to generate telop information.
