摘要： Disclosed is a configuration of a PDP in which different sustaining discharge signals are applied to odd-numbered ones of X electrodes and Y electrodes and even-numbered ones thereof respectively. Owing to the configuration, the wiring in a drive circuit for driving the X electrodes or Y electrodes is simplified, and a scan driver can be formed with an IC or ICs. A plasma display device has a display panel including first to third electrodes. Sustaining discharge signals that are mutually out of phase are applied alternately to adjoining ones of the first electrodes and adjoining ones of the second electrodes respectively. Consequently, first display cells are defined between the second electrodes and the first electrodes on one side of the second electrodes, and second display cells are defined between the second electrodes and the first electrodes on the other side of the second electrodes. Interlacing where the first display cells and second display cells are allowed alternately and repeatedly to glow for display is carried out. A drive circuit for driving the second electrodes includes a first drive circuit for outputting a pulsating voltage to be applied to the odd-numbered second electrodes, a second drive circuit for outputting a pulsating voltage to be applied to the even-numbered second electrodes, and third circuits associated with the second electrodes for applying the pulsating voltages, which are output from the first drive circuit and second drive circuit, to the second electrodes, and for applying a scanning signal selectively to the second electrodes. In the plasma display device, the third circuits are grouped into third odd circuits to be connected to the odd-numbered ones of the second electrodes, and third even circuits to be connected to the even-numbered ones of the second electrodes. The third odd circuits are integrated into at least one chip, and the third even circuits are integrated into at least one chip.

摘要： A plasma display device has a first representing unit, a second representing unit, a judging unit, and a selector. The first representing unit lights only one of even display lines and odd display lines which represent one frame, and the second representing unit lights only the other one of the even display lines and the odd display lines. The judging unit judges a condition for an image to be displayed, and the selector selects whichever of the first representing unit and the second representing unit is used to display an image, based on the results of judgment made by the judging unit. Consequently, the service lives of phosphors and a protecting film can be extended and sticking in a screen can be prevented.

Phase adjusting circuits, which adjust the timing of the changing edge of the sustaining pulse, are provided for the sustaining circuit; the power recovery circuit is of improved efficiency; and power consumption is reduced by optimizing the timing of a changing edge of the sustaining pulse The circuit devices used in the sustaining circuits are classified according to delay times and sets of the circuit devices are selected so that the timing of a changing edge of the sustaining pulse falls within a predetermined allowance, and the selected sets of the circuit devices are set to the PDP.

摘要： Disclosed is a parking lock mechanism of a power transmission apparatus which can stably supply lubrication oil to the sliding surface of a parking cam to decrease the sliding resistance of the parking cam. The parking lock mechanism 52 includes a support portion 73 for positioning a sleeve 71 with respect to an extension housing 6, and a first guide rib 74 provided on the support portion 73 for catching oil circulating in a transaxle case 4 to supply the oil to the support portion 73. The sleeve 71 has an upper portion formed with a notch 71c for allowing a parking pawl 62 to be held in abutment with a parking cam 61. The oil caught by the first guide rib 74 is supplied through the support portion 73 and the notch 71c of the sleeve 71 to the sliding surface of the parking cam 61, viz., the sliding surface between the parking pawl 62 and the parking cam 61 and the sliding surface between the parking cam 61 and the sleeve 71.
