    • In a bolt of the present invention, a guide portion (116) having a small diameter is formed at the distal end of a shaft portion (15) and ridge (31) having an inverted direction screw configuration relative to the ridge (30) formed on a constant diameter portion (115) is formed. When the bolt (1) is inserted obliquely into a nut (100) and the ridge (31) gets into engagement with a female screw portion (105) of the nut (100), an effect of floating the bolt (1) is generated, and the bolt 1 cannot be driven into the nut 100 unless it is set in an appropriate tightening posture. Consequently, biting and seizing of the bolt 1 to the nut can be prevented securely. If the ridge (31) is formed into a double threaded screw having an inverted direction screw configuration, the effect can be further intensified.

    • This invention concerns a fastening device which enables two separate members to be fixed together with a relative interval between them and comprises a bolt 1 in which a male screw portion is formed at a front end side of a cylindrical shaft portion 3 thereof and a spacer 10 which has a female screw portion 15 engaging a male screw portion 4 of the bolt 1 and screw-fastens with a screw of the first member 40 side and rotates while receiving a rotation torque from the bolt 1 and moves up to a position in which it comes into a contact with a second member 50. The feature of this invention is that the root diameter of a male screw portion 4 of the bolt 1 is smaller than the diameter of a cylindrical shaft portion 3 while the inside diameter of the female screw portion 15 of the spacer 10 is larger than the diameter of the cylindrical shaft portion 3 of the bolt 1. Consequently, the cylindrical shaft portion 3 of the bolt 1 can be passed through the female screw portion 15 of the spacer 10 even if the diameter of the cylindrical shaft portion 3 of the bolt 1 is not reduced in diameter by cutting processing or the like. Thus, the bolt 1 can be manufactured only by rolling processing, thereby manufacturing cost being reduced.

The bolt is screwed into a female screw having a nominal diameter D and an inner diameter D1. At the tip of a regular thread part formed on the bolt shank, a small-diameter thread part is formed by one pitch or more, the small-diameter thread part having an outer diameter d which is larger than an inner diameter D of the female screw and smaller than (D+D1)/2. When the bolt is obliquely screwed into the female screw, the small-diameter thread part is brought into contact with the female screw at one point, but the bolt is allowed to rotate around the point. Thus, the occurrence of cross-threading is prevented.
