    • The present invention provides a practical method capable of chemically synthesizing a 100-mer or more long-chain oligonucleotide easily and reliably and a novel compound used in said method. The present invention relates to a method for chemical synthesis of an oligonucleotide by the phosphoroamidite method, which comprises preparing a base moiety-unprotected nucleoside phosphoroamidite from a base moiety-unprotected nucleoside by use of an imidazole trifluoromethanesulfonate represented by the following chemical formula, and coupling said base moiety-unprotected nucleotide phosphoroamidite in a predetermined order to chemically synthesize an oligonucleotide consisting of a specific nucleotide sequence, as well as to an imidazole trifluoromethanesulfonate represented by the chemical formula. ##STR1##

    • The present invention relates to a distributed system in which processors incorporated in machines and objects are mutually linked in operation, and an object of the present invention is to provide a distributed system in which each device can establish a link with a suitable device according to changes in the environment and conditions, independently from the system configuration controlled by a server.In order to achieve the above object, each device provided by the present invention obtains information on surrounding devices through a sensor 131 or communication processing 112, recognizes the environment around it through environment recognition processing 111, and stores the environmental information in an environment management table 123. By employing link control processing 113, each device shares conditional information stored in a profile 122 and a policy 124 of each device through the communication processing 112. Each device locally and continuously determines a device to be linked with it or whether to perform a link operation requested by another device, using the shared conditional information, information on the surrounding environment, and the policy 124. The results of a link operation are made public and shared by each device through the link control processing 113, and used for narrowing the range of link target devices.

    • A transport system composed of road side stations installed along roads and vehicles running on roads, wherein emergency processing at the time of an accident, a local information providing service, and so on are realized by the road side stations in cooperation of the road side stations and the respective vehicles. In the transport system, a plurality of road side stations are interconnected through a road side communication network, and a plurality of vehicles communicate with the road side stations. A vehicle transmits a request message containing a service code and location information. A road side station receiving the request message broadcasts the request message to the network. The road side stations receive the message, and determine whether or not requested processing should be executed based on the service code and the location information. When determining that the processing should be executed, the road side station executes processing indicated by the service code.
