    • The present invention provides a device and an image adjustment method by simultaneously adjusting the luminance and the chrominance of an image. The device comprises a luminance analysis device, a contrast adjusting device, a luminance adjusting device, a chrominance compensation device and a luminance gain adjusting device. The method comprises steps of: generating a maximum input luminance signal, an average input luminance signal and a minimum input luminance signal according to an input luminance signal; generating a contrast value according to at least one of the maximum input luminance signal and the average input luminance signal; generating an input luminance offset according to the input luminance signal and the minimum input luminance signal; generating an output chrominance signal according to the contrast value and an input chrominance signal; and generating an output luminance signal according to the input luminance offset and the contrast value.

    • The present invention provides a hue control system for adjusting a hue of a specified color. The system includes a hue determining circuit and a hue adjusting circuit. The hue determining circuit receives a plurality of color signals of the specified color and a plurality of hue adjusting values each corresponding to one color. The hue determining circuit generates a target hue value according to the color signals and the hue adjusting values. The hue adjusting circuit is coupled to the hue determining circuit. The hue adjusting circuit receives the color signals and the target hue value, and adjusts the hue of the color signals according to the target hue value.

    • The present invention discloses a method and a device for independent color management by using a look-up table (LUT) so as to adjust the color saturation of a single color independently. The method comprises steps of: receiving a color signal of an input pixel; determining color flags and initial saturation values from the color signal by using a look-up table (LUT); obtaining user-controlled color gains according to the color flags; multiplying each of the initial saturation values with one of the corresponding user controlled color gains so as to output an adjusted saturation value; determining a final gain from each the adjusted saturation value by bilinear interpolation according lower-bits of the color signal; and obtaining a new color signal according to the final gain and the color signal. The device comprises a look-up table circuit, defining color flags and initial saturation values as a plurality of points on a coordinate system and receiving a color signal as to output a plurality of signals; a gain output device, receiving the color flags, the initial saturation values and user controlled color gains as to output adjusted saturation gain signals according to the initial saturation values and the user controlled color gains; and an operation unit, receiving the color signal, the initial gain signals as to adjust the color signal according to lower bits of the color signal and the adjusted saturation gain signals.

    • A method for luminance compensation of liquid crystal display includes: measuring the original gamma curve of the panel, setting a target gamma curve, inputting an initial gray level to obtain a luminance corresponding to the target gamma curve, finding the adjusted gray level for expressing the luminance from the original gamma curve, repeating the steps stated above to make a lookup table containing plural groups of proportion array. Then calculating the quantity distribution of input gray levels of images, selecting a corresponding proportion array from the lookup table according to the proportion value between dark level and bright level, substituting the adjusted gray levels in the proportion array for the input gray levels, outputting the adjusted gray levels for adjusting the signal intensity can improve the image quality. The method and the device for luminance compensation can adjust the intensity of input signals to obtain better image quality and suit for the image adjustment of various liquid crystal displays or similar displays.

    • The present invention provides an apparatus and corresponding method for reducing temporal noise of a target frame and enhancing the motion of the target frame. The apparatus includes a storage device, a temporal noise reducing circuit, and a motion enhancing circuit. The storage device stores a first filtered signal of a previous frame. The previous frame is previous to the target frame. The temporal noise reducing circuit reduces temporal noise of the target frame according to the first filtered signal and an image signal of the target frame. The temporal noise reducing circuit then generates a second filtered signal of the target frame, which is stored in the storage device. The motion enhancing circuit enhances the motion of the target frame according to the first and the second filtered signals, and generates a motion-enhanced signal of the target frame.
