    • Provided is a thin film magnetic head which enables both ensuring overwrite characteristics and preventing an adverse effect resulting from side erase, such as degradation in an output signal. An exposed surface of a magnetic pole portion layer is configured to have the shape of an asymmetric inverted trapezoid corresponding to a remaining region which remains after removing a width increasing region in the shape of a right triangle from a rectangular region on the side of a side edge. The side edge of the exposed surface is caused to correspond to the side on which a magnetic flux emitted from the magnetic pole portion layer onto a target track of a hard disk causes information to unintentionally overwrite existing information recorded on an adjacent track. This configuration allows preventing the exposed surface from extending to the adjacent track, thus preventing the adverse effect resulting from side erase.

    • An electrical junction box includes a casing body containing a bus bar that serves as an internal circuit. A bus bar terminal portion is disposed on an outer edge of an upper surface of the casing body to be connected to a terminal. An electrical wire, on which the terminal is caulked, is arranged horizontally along an outer side wall of the casing body. A terminal cover encloses an electrical wire pressing section of the terminal. The terminal cover is fitted in a depression provided in the outer side wall of the casing body.

    • A casing including an upper casing member and a lower casing member is provided on the sidewalls with a connector hood for receiving a connector for lateral connection in order to provide an electrical junction box in which a divided connector hood integrated on upper and lower casing members can exert a sufficient holding force on a mating connector. The connector hood includes a first hood section that projects from the sidewall of the upper casing member and a second hood section that projects from the sidewall of the lower casing member. When the first and second hood sections are assembled integrally, they present a square frame configuration. One of the sections is formed into a U-shape in cross section. Each arm of the U-shape is provided on the free end with a holding portion extending inward. The other of the sections is formed into a flat plate to be fitted in the holding portions. Only the hood section provided with the holding portions can hold a mating connector fitted in the connector hood.

    • An electrical connection box for an automotive vehicle is provided which reduces costs for parts by allowing only printed circuit boards with necessary electronic control circuits to be selectively mounted. The electrical connection box has a plurality of partition members 3 integrally and projectingly formed on a side surface of a casing 1, i.e. an inner surface of an accommodation space 2 at specified intervals. The respective partition members 3 extend from the upper surface to the lower surface of the casing 1 and the leading ends thereof project sideways. Printed circuit boards 4a, 4b, 4c are inserted into spaces between neighboring partition members 4a, 4b, 4c. On each of the printed circuit boards 4a, 4b, 4c are mounted a variety of electronic devices such as a relay, a diode and a capacitor constituting an electronic control circuit. In such an electrical connection box, only the printed circuit boards 4a, 4b, 4c having the necessary electronic control circuits mounted according to a vehicle type can be selectively accommodated in the accommodation space 2. Therefore, there are no unused electronic control circuits and, a cost for parts can be reduced.

    • A video projector (1) comprises a projection lens (18) which projects an image on a screen (S), a zoom ring (19) which varies a magnification ratio of the projection lens (18), a drive wheel (32) which is partially protruded from a bottom face of a housing (2), and a plurality of gears (310, 311, 312) that constitutes a power transmission mechanism (31) between the drive wheel (32) and the zoom ring (19). When the video projector (1) is moved in an anteroposterior direction to the screen with rotating the drive wheel (32), the zoom ring (19) is turned in conjunction with the rotation of the drive wheel (32) through the power transmission mechanism (31). Since the magnification ratio of the projection lens (18) is varied with the turning of the zoom ring (19), the size of the image projected on the screen is varied without a direct operation of the zoom ring (19) by a user.
