摘要： A guiding roller unit has a holder to be mounted on a mount, and a guiding roller rotatably supported by the holder. The holder includes a base, two bearings and widening preventing plates attached respectively to the bearing. The base, the bearings and the widening preventing parts are integral to each other. The base is mounted on the mount. The bearings stand from opposite ends of the base and rotatably support the roller. 摘要： A sheet separating/conveying mechanism 30 has an upper unit 30a in which a paper feed roller 31 and other components are arranged and a lower unit 30b in which a separating roller 32, an arm member 36, and other components are arranged. The arm member 36 is U-shaped as seen in a plan view by being composed of a left and a right movable lever 36a that are mutually parallel and that make contact with both ends of a center shaft 23b and a pivot shaft 36b that supports the movable levers 36a so that they are rotatable in a direction indicated by arrow BB′. The movable levers 36a have locking holes 39 formed at the tip ends thereof, and the lower ends of tension springs 38 are locked in those locking holes 39. The lower unit 30b is fitted with an applied force adjusting member 45 on which locking portions 42a and 42b are formed to protrude therefrom leftward and rightward that permit adjustment of the positions at which the upper ends of the tension springs 38 are locked.

摘要： A sheet feeder has a tray on which a sheet to be fed is to be placed. A lift plate is at a feeding end of the tray and has a first end at an upstream side in a feeding direction connected rotatably to the tray. The lift plate is displaceable between a feeding posture where a second end at a downstream side in the feeding direction is lifted up and a retracted posture where the second end is lower than in the feeding posture due to its own weight. A biasing member gives a biasing force to an elevating member in a direction to lift the lift plate to the feeding posture. A lowering mechanism gives a pressing force against the force of the biasing member to lower the lift plate to the retracted posture.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an image bearing member with an image bearing surface adapted to move in a given direction and carry a toner image thereon. A main cleaning device is opposed to the image bearing surface and electrically removes residual toner remaining on the image bearing surface. A power supply is adapted to apply to the main cleaning device a bias having a polarity reverse to a charge polarity of the residual toner. An auxiliary cleaning device is provided near and upstream of the main cleaning device with respect to the moving direction of the image bearing surface and can be brought into contact with the image bearing surface. A support structure supports the auxiliary cleaning device and permits the auxiliary cleaning device to be moved swingingly while following a displacement of the image bearing surface during the moving.
