    • A door wire harness arrangement structure is provided. In this structure, a wire harness protector is made up of a soft elastic member and thin flexible plates, slidable inside a door, and flexible and restorable in the thickness direction. The soft elastic member may have an oval-shaped cross section. The wire harness protector may be made up of a pair of thin flexible plates and soft elastic members which join the thin plates together at both ends in the width direction. The wire harness protector may have a flat shape, and be provided with a flat wire harness inside. It is also possible to flexibly attach only the flat harness between the door and the main body without the wire harness protector. Slide protrusions and/or fabric for reducing frictional resistance are provided on both sides of the flat harness protector. The flat wire harness is made up of wires secured to a thin resin plate with an adhesive layer or a laminate layer.

    • A structure for installing a wire harness within a vehicle door, wherein a wire harness is placed obliquely alongside the vehicle door and swingingly supported at a vertical position to avoid the stress of the wire harness to be caused when the door is opened or closed. The swinging portion of the wire harness is passed through the swinging portion of a protector. One end of the swinging portion of the wire harness is rotatably connected to a sliding portion of the protector and the other end of the swinging portion is rotatably supported at the vehicle door side. The position at which the swinging portion of the wire harness is supported is set to be the center of a range in which the protector slides. A case fitted into a door panel or formed integrally with a door trim and a cover hinged to the case can be employed to enclose the protector and the swinging portion of the wire harness fixed to a clamp holding portion with use of a clamp.

    • In a vehicle ceiling-mounting electric equipment assembly of the invention, an FPC (12) is welded by heat to a casing (11) of a lamp unit (2), and an FFC (16) for external connection is electrically connected to the FPC (12) by press-clamping or welding. Switches (13) and lamp socket holes (14a) are provided at the FPC (12). An end portion of the FPC (12) is folded to be inserted into a fitting portion (11a) of a recess-shape in which an optional member (26) can be mounted, and a circuit pattern is exposed to a side surface of the fitting portion (11a) to form a connection portion. Therefore, the compact, lightweight design can be achieved, and parts, such as a connector, are unnecessary, thus reducing the number of the component parts.

    • A standard circuit unit 20 for controlling standard electronic equipment (such as a power window drive mechanism), mounted on a door trim 10, is separate from an optional circuit unit 30 for controlling an optional electronic equipment (e.g. a power seat-adjusting mechanism) optionally mounted on the door trim. A switch circuit board 22, 32 is integrally formed in a predetermined pattern on an extension of an input/output signal conductor portion 22b, 32b of an FPC body of each of the two circuit units 20 and 30. When the kind of car is changed, only the optional circuit unit 30 is easily exchangeably combined with the already-mounted standard circuit unit 20.
