摘要： Each bulletin board is set for the purpose of an argument and information exchange concerning a specific television program. In writing a remark in the bulletin board, a user registers information for specifying a program/scene referred to by the remark together with remark contents. The reference information consists of a broadcasting station at the time when a program is broadcasted and time when a reference part is broadcasted. The reference information is shaped into a predetermined format and transmitted to a terminal apparatus of the user. In the terminal apparatus, it becomes possible to start reproduction of a pertinent program/scene from recorded contents on the based on the received reference information. The terminal apparatus can support creation of information such as a comment concerning each scene in program contents and transmission and reception work of this type of information.

摘要： A video recording and reproducing apparatus can support viewing and reproduction of a recorded video content on the basis of viewing support information provided from another party. The viewing support information includes channel information specifying a program with respect to each broadcast program, comments on a specific scene within the program, and on-air time of the commented scene. On the side of a user who received the viewing support information, a scene on which a desired comment is made can be automatically found by search using its on-air time as a clue.

摘要： An information processing apparatus and method is disclosed wherein slideshow images can be reproduced for an arbitrary period of time. A scaling coefficient calculation section divides a slideshow reproduction time period by a selected effect total time period to calculate the ratio between them as a scaling coefficient and supplies the calculated scaling coefficient to a correction section. The correction section corrects the reproduction time period of each effect of a deletion result supplied from a deletion candidate deletion section or each selected effect supplied from an effect selection section using the scaling coefficient supplied from the scaling coefficient calculation section so as to make the total reproduction time period of the selected effects coincide with a slideshow reproduction time period. The invention can be applied to a personal computer or the like which can handle still pictures.

A play interval specification section specifies a play interval of the sound data other than the head and tail no-sound intervals, and an image content allocation section allocates photo album information and effect data to the play interval to produce vector data. A fade-out process setting section updates the vector data so that a fade-out process may be applied to images within the tail fade-out interval.
