摘要： An image processing device is structured such that an appropriate judgement of an image, at which blurring or disappearance or the like will occur, is possible. When pixels, which form a line image at which there is the possibility that blurring or disappearance will occur at the time of printing by using a printing plate, are extracted, a line image warning function gives notice by displaying a warning message on a monitor of a client terminal. Thereafter, image converting and print setting are carried out such that an extracted line image is clarified. In this way, when a proof is prepared, an image, at which there is the possibility that blurring or disappearance will occur on a printed matter obtained by using a printing plate, is clarified, and appropriate proofing is possible.

摘要： An image processing apparatus and an image processing method which perform image processing for drawing information which includes image information and color correction information are provided. The image processing apparatus according to the invention includes a first conversion component which converts a predetermined first color component value in a color space applied by the drawing information into a second color component value in a different color space while being corrected by the color correction information, a decision component which determines whether the second color component value is a value falling within a predetermined range or not, and a second conversion component which performs conversion of color components used in image drawing based on the drawing information into a single color corresponding to the range.

摘要： The present invention provides an image processing device and an image processing method, which prevent printing mishaps from occurring in printed matter when a user performs a printing process without knowing an EPS image that has been subjected to JPEG compression is included on a page layout. A print server detects a compressed image in an EPS (JPEG) format or the like, sets a CMS according to the color plate being processed, and converts values of C, M, Y, and K. For example, when a process on the C color plate is performed, the converting process is performed by using a CMS 40C for the C color plate so that the value of “c” in the compressed image becomes a value of K (KC value). In such a manner, the values of K (KC, KM, KY, and KK) output from CMSs 40C, 40M, 40Y, and 40K are converted into values of C, M, Y, and K.

摘要： When an output unit to produce output is specified through an instruction terminal 11 and original data is input to a color proof generation section 12, a color conversion section 13 acquires a color conversion parameter corresponding to the specified output unit from a color conversion information storage section 14 and performs color conversion processing for the original data so as to accomplish precise color reproduction in the specified output unit. A rasterizing section 15 expands the original data after undergoing the color conversion processing into raster data while using an enormous number of fonts in a font storage section 16. The raster data provided by the rasterizing section 15 is transmitted from a communication section 17 through a network 4 to the specified output unit. If a remote system 2 or 3, which receives the raster data, prints out on output unit 21 or 31, a color proof whose color is reproduced precisely can be provided.
