    • A centrifugal oil pressure control arrangement for a continuously variable transmission includes an oil pressure chamber connected to a sheave member, a centrifugal oil pressure correction chamber connected to the opposite side of the oil pressure chamber with respect to the sheave member, and a cylinder connected to the sheave. A piston is disposed fixedly in the cylinder and defines the oil pressure chamber and the centrifugal oil pressure chamber by the piston. A first opening formed on the piston and the oil pressure chamber is communicated with the centrifugal oil pressure chamber by the first opening. The centrifugal oil pressure control arrangement includes the cylinder having a main cylinder and a sub-cylinder. The main cylinder is connected to the sheave and slidably moved on the main cylinder. The sub-cylinder is fixedly connected to the shaft and has a second opening communicated between the centrifugal oil pressure chamber and a casing. The second opening is radially located to become equal to or a slightly smaller than the inner radius of the sheave.

    • A brush holding device of an "easy-to-assemble" type disposed between a yoke and an end frame of a motor. The device has a brush holder formed in one body from an electrically insulating material to include an annular-type field winding fixing frame, a brush holding stay having a plurality of brush chambers thereon, each of the brush chambers having at least an opening on the side of the end frame, integral connecting portions annularly connecting the spaced brush chambers therebetween, an insulating plate member having relatively rigid body portions to cover the openings of the brush chambers and relatively flexible portions connecting the body portions therebetween, and means for fixing the insulation to the brush holders by deforming the flexible portions of the insulator toward the brush holders. The aforementioned annular fixing frame has a plurality of flanges radially outwardly extending from the outer periphery thereof by which the annular frame is circumferentially axially aligned with the yoke. Consequently, the brush holding device is able to be rigidly held between the yoke and the end frame without using a bolt while establishing a good alignment of the device in the circumferential and the axial direction.

    • A control circuit for outputting a signal for controlling an amount of light emitted from a plurality of light emitting elements. The control circuit includes a controller or CPU, and a D/A converter outputting a signal for setting a voltage in multiple gradation in accordance with a lighting state of the light emitting element. An amplifying circuit amplifies an output of the D/A converter and outputs an amplified output as a control signal. A reference voltage generating circuit generates a reference voltage and a comparator compares the control signal with the reference voltage. The controller varies an output of the D/A converter based on the result of comparison by the comparator, to adjust the output of the D/A converter so that the control signal is equivalent to the reference voltage. Accordingly each voltage is reset in the multiple gradation to allow the light emitting element to appropriately emit light based on the adjusted output. As a result, a plurality of light emitting elements can be controlled stably without using a high precision circuit element.
