    • An ink jet recording head includes a nozzle array and discharge energy generation elements. The nozzles include discharge ports to discharge liquid when recording, pressure chambers to communicate with respective discharge ports, and liquid flow paths to supply liquid to the respective pressure chambers. The discharge energy generation elements apply discharge energy to the pressure chambers to discharge liquid from the nozzles in a predetermined order during time-division driving. Arranging intervals of the liquid flow paths take at least two different values. When a drive timing difference average between the adjacent discharge energy generation elements is calculated by a particular expression, a relationship of D≧Y is satisfied between an interval D and an interval Y in a k-th discharge energy generation element and a k+1-th discharge energy generation element positioned adjacent to the k-th discharge energy generation element. The intervals D and Y represent distances between particular liquid flow paths.

    • A microstripline filter in which characteristics of a plurality of resonators which are connected to one another in a manner of inductive coupling are precisely set. The microstripline filter includes a ground electrode, main-surface lines, common electrodes, short-circuit electrodes, and input/output electrodes. The ground electrode is arranged on a lower surface of a dielectric substrate having a rectangular plate shape. The plurality of main-surface lines are arranged on an upper surface of the dielectric substrate and form respective resonators. The common electrodes connect some of the main-surface lines to one another in conduction states. The plurality of short-circuit electrodes connect a group of the main-surface lines which are brought to conduction states by the common electrodes to the ground electrode through an identical side surface of the dielectric substrate. The input-and-output electrodes are connected to corresponding ones of the resonators including the main-surface lines.

    • A stripline filter includes a ground electrode, input and output electrodes, top-surface resonant lines, side-surface resonant lines, side-surface line portions, connection electrode portions, and top-surface line portions. The ground electrode is provided on the bottom side of a dielectric substrate. The input and output electrodes are provided on the bottom surface of the substrate so as to be separate from the ground electrode. The top-surface resonant lines are provided on the top surface of the substrate. The side-surface line portions, the connection electrode portions, and the top-surface line portions connect two of the top-surface resonant lines to the input and output electrodes. The line width of the two top-surface resonant lines is smaller than the line width of the remainder of the top-surface resonant lines.
