    • A ramp generator for an analog-to-digital converter comprises an array of capacitors each controlled by a switch responsive to one or more control signals and operable to connect/disconnect one or more of the capacitors relative to the array and a current source operable to charge at least one of the capacitors. A method for operating a ramp generator having an array of capacitors comprises resetting the ramp generator, enabling a current generator to charge at least one capacitor in the switched capacitor array, and controlling the state of one or more switches, wherein the switches are operable to connect and disconnect one or more of the capacitors relative to the array.
