    • An exemplary illumination device includes a solid-state light source and a light diffusion plate. The solid-state light source is configured for generating light, and the solid-state light source defines a central axis. The light diffusion plate is arranged generally adjacent to the solid-state light source. The plate includes an incident surface and an output surface at opposite sides thereof. At least one of the incident surface and the output surface has parallel micro-structures each having a length parallel to a first reference axis. The micro-structures are arranged in two groups at opposite sides of the central axis, and the micro-structures of the two groups are symmetrical relative to each other across the central axis. The first micro-structures are configured for increasing a radiating range of the light entering the plate along respective opposite directions of a second reference axis substantially perpendicular to the first reference axis.

    • An exemplary illuminating apparatus includes a light source, a supporting member, a first film and a second film. The light source includes a substrate and a plurality of light emitting diode arranged on the substrate. The supporting member connected to the substrate. The supporting member includes a light emitting surface at a side thereof distant from the light emitting diodes. The first film and the second film attached to each other and arranged at the light emitting surface of the supporting member. The first film includes a first phosphor doped therein, and the second film includes a second phosphor doped therein. Each of the first phosphor and the second phosphor is capable of being excited by light emitted from the light-emitting diodes and converting a wavelength of the light into a desired wavelength.

    • An alternating current light emitting diode (LED) illumination apparatus includes a heat dissipation plate, a plurality of LED chips, a circuit layer, an encapsulation, at least one electrode located on the heat dissipation plate, and a driving element. The LED chips are categorized into at least two LED chip groups connected in series, and each LED chip group comprises at least two LED chips connected in anti-parallel. The driving element comprises a transformer and a bilateral switch. One end of a first switch of the bilateral switch selectively connects to an output terminal of the transformer to output a selected driving voltage to the LED chips. One end of a second switch of the bilateral switch connects to the first switch and the other end of the second switch selectively connects to a LED chip group or all of the LED chips.

    • An LED light emitting device includes a lamp housing, an LED light emitting component thermally attached to the lamp housing, a power source driver for providing electric energy for the LED light emitting component, and a temperature sensor attached to the lamp housing for sensing a surface temperature of an outer surface of the lamp housing. When the value of the surface temperature is smaller than a predetermined temperature value, the temperature sensor outputs a control signal to the power source driver to control the power source driver to supply a larger electric current to the LED light emitting component, and the LED light emitting component generates more heat to the lamp housing to increase the surface temperature thereof.
