摘要： A glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic sheet material is provided in which certain properties, or combinations of properties, are improved relative to similar comparative sheet materials. The sheet material generally comprises a glass mat or glass fabric fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin in which the thermoplastic resin at least partially impregnates the glass mat or fabric. The thermoplastic sheet material contains about 15 wt. % to about 65 wt. % of the glass mat or fabric based on the weight of the thermoplastic sheet material and has a thickness in the range of about 0.4 mm to about 3.0 mm. By including glass mat or fabric and maintaining the sheet thickness in the aforementioned range, the present invention thermoplastic sheet material exhibits improved flexural and/or tensile strength and modulus properties at reduced basis weight compared to a comparative thermoplastic sheet materials. A method of providing the glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic sheet material having an improved combination of flexural strength and modulus and/or tensile strength and modulus properties is also described, in which a first layer of a first thermoplastic resin, a second layer of a second thermoplastic resin, and a layer of glass mat or glass fabric are provided; the first thermoplastic resin layer, the second thermoplastic resin layer and the glass mat or glass fabric layer are arranged such that the glass mat or glass fabric layer is interposed between the first and second thermoplastic resin layers; and heat and pressure are applied to substantially melt and compress the first thermoplastic resin and/or the second thermoplastic resin and to at least partially impregnate the glass mat or glass fabric layer with the molten first thermoplastic resin and/or the molten second thermoplastic resin.

摘要： A hollow molded article is obtained by molding a thermoplastic polyester composition comprising a blend of reinforcing fiber glass, polybutylene terephthalate with a melting point of 210 to 230° C. and polyethylene terephthalate with a melting point of 240 to 260° C., wherein at least 10% of the outer surface of the article has a continuous glossy region with a gloss of at least 75 gloss units, as measured at 60 degrees in accordance with ASTM D523 and wherein the gloss varies from the average less than 10 gloss units in the glossy region. A gas-assisted injection molding process is also disclosed for making such hollow molded articles, which articles can have various uses, including handles for appliances or the like.

摘要： An improved system and procedure for controlling the audio broadcast to users participating in a group conversation. In one embodiment, a communications server employs arbitration logic to decide which of the user has priority to speak, and accordingly mixes only the audio data steams for those users for broadcast to all users. The server can send notification to the user interfaces to inform the users of their current priority status and to allow the users to request that their priority be increased, decreased, eliminated, or passed on for the benefit of another user. A user may also attempt at his user interface to affect the priority of identified other users by informing the arbitration logic of a rating for that user. Additionally, a systems administrator may also arbitrate user priorities, either at his discretion or in conjunction with suggestions provided by the arbitration logic. Finally, and regardless of system-assessed priorities, a user may at his user interface tailor the group conversation broadcast to him by either blocking reception of audio from certain users or by reducing their volume, or may tailor his outgoing audio transmission so they are blocked from being received by selected group conversation participants.
