    • A method includes placing pipe stands to support waste-conveying pipes in a trench in a septic system. The pipe stands are preferably flat bowtie-shaped sheets (preferably polymeric) folded to form stable pipe supports. Holes or notches are formed that align when the sheet is folded, thus providing stable support for a horizontal pipe when the panels' bottom edges rest on the ground. Modified versions include: folding a fold-out foot in the panels for engaging soft soil, forming fold-out dispersing flanges for dispersing waste dropped from the pipe, driving stakes into soft soil for stability, punching-out rings or multiple holes for supporting different sized pipes, stabilizing opposing panels in the sheet to fixedly maintain their spacing, forming a feature for receiving a grounded wire stake, and/or providing a bias from the living hinge of the fold line causing frictional gripping of the pipe. Many versions can be used in different orientations.

    • This invention concerns apparatus for injecting a special ingredient into a pre-filled product container having superatmospheric internal pressure. Structurally, a coupling member is fabricated to define a cavity that snugly receives a portion of the container body to establish alignment therewith. This coupling member includes a mounting structure for use in positioning a syringe assembly with respect to a pierceable portion of the container body. A syringe assembly includes a syringe body that is mounted on the mounting structure and defines an internal chamber for containing a metered amount of a fluid product ingredient or amendment, the syringe assembly further including a cannulated needle fastened to the syringe body in fluid-transfer relationship with the product ingredient chamber. A wrench member is assemblable with the coupling member and includes an actuator for selectively engaging the syringe assembly and forceably reducing the internal volume of the product ingredient chamber. Force-multiplying mechanical arrangements are arranged to act between the coupling member and the wrench member for urging the actuator to express the contents of the ingredient chamber through the needle and into the product container against its internal pressure.

    • Dispensing apparatus for use in making a foam medical cast comprises a valved canister charged with foam-making chemicals, a rolled-up strip of bandage fabric, a yoke arrangement for holding and allowing rotation of the bandage roll and having a mount for securing the canister in rigid position, and a manually operable handle pivotally mounted to the yoke arrangement.     • An orthotic support system is embodied as cooperating seat and back cushion elements for assembly into a wheelchair frame. These cushion elements are custom-fitted to the individual patient by injecting an incipiently reacting and foaming, fluorocarbon-blown polyurethane chemical system into the space between a rigid mold box and an elastic membrane which is fitted over the open face of the mold box and which is deformably engaged by the appropriate portions of the patient's torso. The foaming mixture is injected in predetermined excess volume and expands against the physical resistance of the patient's body where contact is made with the corresponding regions of the elastic membrane; and this forcible engagement produces selective densification of the foam where a high degree of body support is required. Elsewhere, the foam expands more freely and stretchably inflates the membrane to generate graduatedly less dense regions matably contoured to fit or partially embrace the patient. For body alignment purposes, specialized bolsters are integrally formed in the cushion elements.
