摘要： A composite sill assembly including a core covered by an extruded section of aluminum cladding and a cover plate of brass fastened to the outer surface of the cladding to improve the appearance of the assembly without appreciably increasing its cost. Opposing surfaces of the cover plate and cladding are isolated from each other to prevent corrosion through galvanic action and this may be accomplished by adhering the cover plate to the cladding with a double faced adhesive tape of foamed neoprene or other suitable material. In this construction the tape therefore serves the dual function of both securing the plate to the cladding and isolating the two members from each other to prevent galvanic reaction and corrosion.

摘要： A door frame construction in which the jambs, threshold, lintel, and trim are of molded construction. The door frame may be molded in one piece and the jambs are provided with clips for attaching the jambs to studs framing the door opening. The clips are adjustably mounted on the jambs so that the door frame may be positioned properly despite misalignment of the studs to which the frame is attached. The jambs also carry clips for attaching the trim to the door frame, and these clips and the clips for mounting the frame on the studs may be formed integrally from a single strip of metal. The side and head trim are preferably formed separately and joined at the job site by means of a special corner construction which allows them to be joined without nails, screws or other external fasteners.

摘要： A prefabricated door assembly for insertion in a door opening in a wall of predetermined thickness comprises side and head jambs of a width less than the wall thickness, and the frame is completed by extender casings each comprising a molding which is butt jointed to the outer surface of an extender piece that has its opposite edge butt jointed to its complementary jamb to complete a frame assembly of the proper width to fit the door opening with the molding pieces overlying the junction between the extender pieces and the wall. These features provide significant savings in the cost of materials and also in the space required for shipping the prefabricated base frame assemblies prior to addition of the extender casings thereto.

摘要： An assembly for mounting a flat panel of glass or other material in an opening in a door frame. The assembly includes complementary molding sections, each of which has inwardly projecting studs which align with the studs on the opposite molding and are secured by tubular clips which slip over the studs. The clips also include outwardly projecting wings which engage the edges of the panel to support and position it in the door frame opening, and at least one of the wings is disposed at approximately 45.degree. with respect to a plane bisecting the clip. This construction allows the position of the panel to be adjusted by rotating the clips about their longitudinal axes.

摘要： A door light assembly in which a door light and interior and exterior molding members are secured in a door by an improved security clip. The clip is formed from a single piece of spring steel sheet metal and is adapted to be attached to the exterior molding member by means of a screw. Portions of the clip engage the adjacent edges of the door light and the door to hold the door light in place in the door, while other portions of the clip provide an attachment for the interior molding member. The resulting construction provides greater security since the exterior molding member is locked positively in place by means of screws, while at the same time the construction is aesthetically pleasing in that the screw heads are concealed.

摘要： A door comprising a rectangular frame covered by sheet metal skins is provided on its under edge with special weather stripping which includes clip means serving to mount the weather stripping in cooperation with flange portions along the under edges of the metal skins which are turned under the door frame to form return wings. The cooperative relation of the weather stripping and the return wings makes it possible to mount the weather stripping on a door in hung position by sliding it endwise into place. The return wings also offer the further advantage of improved fire protection.
