摘要： A wearable device (100) for electric stimulation of a user's body, wherein the wearable device (100) is adapted to fit a portion of the user's body, the wearable device (100) comprising at least one electrode (104a-d) embedded in the wearable device (100) for transferring a stimulating current to the user's body; a connection point (106) being an intermediate connection between the at least one electrode (104a-d) and a control unit (110), the control unit (110) being adapted to generate the stimulating current; and means for detecting if a change in a physical relationship between the connection point (106) and the at least one electrode (104a-d) exceeds a predetermined threshold value, thereby enabling detection of misuse and tampering with the device (100). This ensures no harm is done to the user, for example, by placing the electrodes in such a way that a risk of stimulating the heart exists which may lead to a heart failure. Furthermore, tampering with the device can be detected, thereby enabling an anti-cheat functionality when the device is intended for use in a competitive computer game.

Such asymmetric diffusion improves the color mixing, and removes or limits the occurrence of color bands or intensity bands, while limiting the divergence in the direction where no color mixing or intensity variation problems exist.

The ambient illumination system generates the illumination variation using an ambilight signal (A, (A1,1. . . A4,5), P, (P1,1, . . . P4,5)) derived from a video-image (I1, I2), the ambient illumination system comprises an analyzer for deriving the ambilight signals from the video-image and comprises a controller (10) for driving the light source (L1, L2, . . . L8) using the ambilight signal. The illumination variation is displayed by the controller while not displaying the video-image. The effect of the ambient illumination system according to the invention is that it enables to enhance the usability of the ambient illumination system by using the ambiance created by the ambient illumination system via, for example, a previously shown video-image, however, now at a time when the video-image is not shown on the display device which, for example, is located in the same room.

The system comprises one or two U-shaped light guides, the legs of which spatially correspond to three or four sides of the display screen. In one embodiment, the light sources illuminate a background surface behind the TV such as a wall. In another embodiment, the light sources are arranged around the display screen in substantially the same planar area, and radiate light to the front. In yet another embodiment, the light sources are arranged to directly or/and indirectly illuminate the dark area between the pixel area of the display screen and the front of the lighting or illumination system.

摘要： This invention relates to a rim system for a display such as a TV or a computer display. Controllable light sources are used for emitting light beam of at least one wavelength into a light guide comprising an inner and an outer side and a front and a back side, the light guide being adapted for guiding incoming light emitted by the light sources. The light guide 5 comprises an out-coupling structure for interacting with the light guided within the light guide such that the light becomes extracted out of the front side of the light guide. The light sources are coupled to the light guide such that the emitted light beam reaching the inner and the outer sides from with hin the light guide becomes reflected under an oblique angle with the respect to the inner and the outer sides.
