    • A structure of a vacuum display device is mainly constructed in a vacuum chamber, which is formed by the enclosure of a surface plate, a base plate, and a spacer plate. The surface plate includes a display matrix and a black matrix, the base plate includes an inner surface and an outer surface, while the spacer plate possesses a plurality of recesses in its edges. The required electrode lead wires are disposed on the inner surface of the base plate and are extended out through the recesses. A plurality of fins are disposed on the spacer plates to support the surface plate, the base plate, and the spacer plate, and are located at the black matrices. Additionally, sealing material is used to seal the connections between the surface plate, the base plate, and the spacer plate, and is also used to fill the gaps in the recesses.

    • A method of fabricating an emitter of a field emission display. A mixture of metal and silver paste with glass material is screen printed on a substrate as a silver electrode. The metal is selected from a hard solder alloy such as Al/Si alloy containing tin, zinc, aluminum or other low melting point metal. Alternatively, the metal and the silver paste with the glass material are separately screen printed on the substrate. The metal is selected from tin, zinc, aluminum, or an alloy with a low melting point such as aluminum/silicon alloy. A carbon nano-tube layer is formed on the silver electrode by coating the carbon nano-tube material with the electric arc. Alternately a catalyst layer can be formed on the silver electrode prior to the formation of the carbon nano-tube layer. A metal layer such as nickel and copper is formed on the carbon nano-tube layer to prevent the carbon nano-tube layer from absorbing gas.

    • A cold cathode fluorescent flat lamp (CCFFL) comprising a cavity, a fluorescence material, a discharge gas, at least one first electrode pair and at least one second electrode pair is provided. The cavity comprises a first inner wall and a second inner wall opposite to the first inner wall or disposed on an outer wall of the cavity. The fluorescence material is disposed over the inner wall of the cavity, and the discharge gas is disposed inside the cavity. The first and second electrode pairs are disposed over the first and second inner wall respectively, and each first and second electrode pairs comprise a first light emitting area and a second light emitting area respectively. The first electrode pair and second electrode pair may be outside the cavity. The first light emitting area and the second light emitting area are not completely overlapped, therefore the non-illuminating area in-between may be compensated. Thus, the light emitting uniformity of the cold cathode fluorescent flat lamp (CCFFL) may be increased.
