摘要： A display and its power-saving apparatus and method are provided. The power-saving method is adapted for a display with a backlight module. The power-saving method of the present invention includes the following steps. First, the brightness of the backlight module is adjusted by an adjusting signal. After then, the refresh frequency of the display panel is determined by the display brightness of the backlight module, wherein the refresh frequency of the display panel is proportional to the display brightness level achieved by said backlight module.

The corrected gate driving signal is then outputted to drive one of the corresponding scan lines.

The liquid crystal display device includes a storage unit, an external gamma reference voltage generator and a source driver IC. The storage unit stores a plurality of digital gamma data each relating to at least one predetermined color. The source driver IC further comprises an internal gamma reference voltage generator and a digital to analog converter module. The internal gamma reference voltage generator generates a plurality of internal gamma reference voltage to the digital to analog converter module according to the digital gamma data supplied by the storage unit. The digital to analog converter module also receives a plurality of external gamma reference voltages supplied by the external gamma reference voltage generator.

摘要： An inversion method for use in a liquid crystal display having pluralities of pixels. First, at least one inversion signal is provided to determine a polarity. A data voltage is then generated according to the polarity and a data signal. Thereafter, a scan signal is provided to activate a pixel, such that the data voltage is converted to luminance. The inversion signal is a non-periodic signal. When the scan signal activates the pixel, the inversion signal provides the random alternative of a first level and a second level.
