    • Embodiments of the invention provided a DC/DC converter. The DC/DC converter includes a transformer, a first controller and a first switch. The transformer has a primary winding coupled to a power source, a first secondary winding for providing a first output voltage and a second secondary winding for providing a second output voltage. The first controller is coupled to the primary winding for controlling input power to the primary winding to regulate the first output voltage. The switch is coupled to the second secondary winding and for regulating the second output voltage. The first switch is controlled by a pulse modulation signal. A current flows through the second secondary winding if the pulse modulation signal is in the first state, and the current flowing through the second secondary winding remains cut-off if the pulse modulation signal is in the second state.

    • A driving circuit for powering a plurality of light-emitting diode (LED) light sources includes a power converter and a plurality of current balance controllers. The power converter receives an input voltage and provides a regulated voltage to the LED light sources. The current balance controllers coupled to the power converter control a plurality of currents through the LED light sources respectively. The current balance controllers receive a first reference signal indicative of a target average level and a second reference signal indicative of a maximum transient level, and regulate an average current of each of the currents to the target average level and a transient level of each of the currents within the maximum transient level.

    • A power supply system is provided for a multiple lamp LCD panel. In one aspect, the power supply includes a plurality of transformers for driving a plurality of respective CCFLs. The primary sides of each transformer are coupled in series to thereby reduce the stress on each transformer. For LCD panels that include longer CCFLs, a power supply is provided that includes a plurality of transformers for driving a plurality of respective CCFLs. The primary sides of each transformer are coupled in series and each lamp is coupled to two secondary sides of the transformers, thereby reducing the problems associated with longer CCFL tubes. In any of the embodiments, the power supply can be adapted to convert a high voltage DC signal to high voltage AC used to power the lamps.

    • A circuit for controlling light sources comprises a converter, a feedback circuit and a current distribution controller. The converter is operable for converting an input voltage to an output current and for providing the output current to the light sources.     • The present invention provides an inverter controller comprising a drive circuit that generates a plurality of switch drive signals for inverter applications. In some exemplary embodiments, the drive circuit operates by reversing the command level of an error signal. In other embodiments, the drive circuit operates by using a half period of a sawtooth signal. In still other embodiments, the drive circuit operates by using a double period opposite shifting pulses method. The present invention also provides a PWM signal generator circuit that generates periodic PWM switch drive signals symmetrical to the minimum or maximum of a sawtooth waveform.

    • The present invention provides an integrated LCD panel power supply formed on a single printed circuit board. The integrated power supply includes at least one DC/AC control unit, at least one DC/DC buck converter unit and at least one DC/DC boost control unit. Each unit supplies power to an associated function of said LCD. The integrated power supply may also include an oscillator circuit generating a clock signal, and the clock signal is supplied to each unit thereby synchronizing the operation of each unit. The single PCB approach of the present invention eliminates the need for additional wiring between printed circuit boards and thereby eliminates or substantially reduces noise issues associated with such wiring.
