    • A wastebasket includes a container having a top opening, and a lid mounted on the container and adapted to pivot about a pivot axis to cover and uncover the top opening. A mechanism for actuating pivotal movement of the lid with respect to the container is provided. The mechanism includes a generally horizontal operating lever having a foot pedal, a depending flange joined to the lid, and a rod linkage interconnecting the operating lever and the flange. The lid flange has an elongated slot formed through its thickness. The slot includes a channel and two enlargements situated at opposite ends of the channel. The rod linkage slides through the channel into one of the two enlargements, and engages the lid flange at either enlargement to pivot the lid between positions covering and uncovering the container. A U-shaped member having legs is pivotally mounted on the lid flange and is adapted to pivot with its legs across the elongated slot near one of the enlargements to help keep the rod linkage from inadvertently slipping out of the enlargement and into the channel of the slot when lid is being pivoted to a position uncovering the container.

    • Surface mount electrolytic capacitors are provided with anode and cathode terminations having respective first termination portions provided on the bottom surface of a molded package in a generally coplanar configuration. A second cathode termination portion is bent in a generally perpendicular fashion to the first cathode termination portion and may then be adhered to the external cathode layer of a capacitor body. A second anode termination portion is bent in a generally perpendicular fashion to the first anode termination portion and may then be welded to an anode wire connected to and extending from the capacitor body. An insulation pad may be provided between the first anode termination portion and the capacitor body to prevent device shorting. A planar termination frame may be provided to form the electrolytic capacitors of the present subject matter. Additional embodiments of the disclosed technology include additional termination portions to effect wrap-around surface-mount anode and cathode terminations.

    • A toy figure comprising a hollow body or torso member has at least one extremity receiving socket disposed therewithin having an annular sidewall and a base wall and formed integrally with the body member. The hollow extremities have a projecting socket with an annular sidewall and a base wall which has a depending boss extending into the cavity of the extremity, and a passage extends therethrough. A plug member is seated in the socket and it has a depending finger sealing the passage through the base wall of the socket. A connector engages the outer surface of the socket of the extremity and the inner surface of the socket of the torso to provide a rotatable connection between them. Expanding air pressure in the extremity cavity causes the material of the depending boss to clamp the finger tightly to seal the passage and hold the plug in assembly.
