    • A method for retrieving maps from a map server is disclosed where, as an intermediate step, map meta-data is requested on the basis of which one or more map can later be selected. Map meta-data on the basis of location data, indicating the location of the user device, and map criteria, specifying at least one condition for selecting maps which may be entered manually or automatically into a user device. The request is sent to a map server where a search for map meta-data matching the received location data and map criteria is executed. In case of at least one match between the map meta-data, the location data and the map criteria, map meta-data associated with at least one map is provided to the user device, such that the user device can select at least one map, which can be acquired from the map server, at least partly on the basis of the retrieved map meta-data.

    • Matching systems are provided that are configured to determine if a first entity received from a client device of a first user matches with at least one other entity of a plurality of entities indexed in an index in which each entity is associated with one or more index points. The system includes an application server adapted for communication with a matching engine and the client device. The matching engine is configured to index the first entity by associating the first entity with one or more index points in the index; and search for other entities matching the first entity among the plurality of entities indexed in the index by searching for other entities associated with at least one of the index points with which the first entity is associated. The matching system is adapted to initiate the search for other entities matching the first entity upon occurrence of a match triggering event and interpret the reception of the first entity as a match triggering event such that search is initiated upon reception thereof.

    • Methods, a user equipment, a server host, a client application, computer program products, and a server computer program. These methods and components can be utilized by a location based service. One method regards triggering of events in the user equipment based on a position of the user equipment, comprising the steps of: —looking up, in a server database at least one network cell-identity associated with a predefined geographical area, —sending the network cell-identity to the user equipment, —storing the network cell-identity in a database in the user equipment, —obtaining a current network cell-identity to which the user equipment currently is connected, —comparing in the user equipment the current network cell-identity with network cell-identities stored in the database, and —retrieving content associated with the current network cell-identity if the current network cell identity is among the network cell-identities in the database.
