    • An information distribution device performs a method for selectively distributing media associated with an incident to a plurality of responders assigned to the incident. The method includes receiving, at the information distribution device, an incident information bundle comprising media inputs associated with the incident. For each responder in the plurality of responders assigned to the incident, the information distribution device: determines a set of roles for the responder; selects a set of filtering templates designed based on the set of roles; applies the set of filtering templates to the information bundle to generate a responder information bundle that includes a subset of the media inputs that is customized to the set of roles for the responder; and delivers the responder information bundle to the responder.

    • An infrastructure device in a 3GPP compliant system performs a method transporting a plurality of media streams over a shared MBMS bearer. The 3GPP compliant system includes a RAN partitioned into a plurality MBMS services areas, wherein each MBMS service area has at least one already existing shared MBMS bearers for transporting the media streams. The infrastructure device: receives a first request to transmit a first media stream to a first communication group; identifies a shared MBMS bearer in a first 3GPP MBMS service area that is already transporting a second media stream to a second communication group; and determines whether the shared MBMS bearer has sufficient capacity to transport both the first media stream and the second media stream simultaneously. When the shared MBMS bearer has sufficient capacity, the infrastructure device simultaneously sends both the first media stream and the second media stream on the shared MBMS bearer.

    • A radio communications device has a memory having stored therein a user application program (16), a telephony program (18) and an application programming interface (API) 30 between these. Various aspects of the API are described. In one aspect, the API has a command for establishing a call and the telephony program accepts, as an argument of the command for establishing the call, an array identifying several terminal objects (54-58), thereby permitting establishment of a call for multiple terminal objects. In another aspect, groupings of events are described and an API command defines an event class from one of the groups together with an ID defining an event within the event class. In a further aspect, a program in the telephony program is called to create a call object (50). The call object is created regardless of whether radio service for the radio comunications device has been established.
