The method includes the interoperability gateway performing: receiving a indication of an emergency event for a first user, wherein the first user is operating a first device in a first network of a first network type; responsive to receiving the indication, determining a set of devices related to the first user, wherein the set of devices includes the first device and at least a second device operating in a second network of a second network type; instructing the second network to modify at least one Quality of Service setting for the second device.

摘要： A method for bearer reservation, maintenance, and use in a communication system is performed by an intermediary function (IF) in the enterprise network. The IF processes a user plane reservation request for a flow of user plane data from a sourcing device, and determines a set of bearers to transport the flow of user plane data. The IF requests from at least one access network the determined set of bearers, and receives from the at least one access network an allocated set of bearers, wherein the allocated set of bearers comprises one or more bearers. The IF receives the flow of user plane data from the sourcing device. The IF receives an indication that at least one of the bearers in the allocated set of bearers is unavailable, and prevents at least a portion of the flow of user plane data from being transmitted over the default bearer.

摘要： Techniques are provided for selecting a root node in an ad hoc network comprising a plurality of nodes including a first node. According to one implementation of these techniques, a first node can receive a message from at least one of the other nodes. Each message includes a number of primary factors associated with a particular node regarding capabilities of the particular node. The primary factors associated with each node can then be evaluated, and an attempt can be made to select the root node based on the primary factors associated with each node. If the first node is unable to select the root node based on the primary factors associated with each node, then the root node can be selected based on secondary factors associated with each node.

摘要： Techniques are provided for selecting a root node in an ad hoc network that contains a plurality of nodes including a first node. According to one implementation of these techniques, a first node can receive a message from at least one of the other nodes. According to one aspect, the method includes receiving at a first node in the wireless network a route request message from a second node, where the second node and the first node have not been mutually authenticated. The first node is then mutually authenticated with the second node in response to receiving the route reply message at the first node.

Then, the client determines a time to perform a scan of neighbors based upon 1) a type of neighbor discovery to be performed and 2) when a first beacon is transmitted by an access point in a first tier of the multi-tier wireless local area network. Subsequently, the client performs a scan of neighbors at the determined time on a channel associated with the type of neighbor discovery. Finally, the client receives a beacon sent from a neighbor of the client to update the neighbor list with information transmitted in the beacon.
