    • A signal processor includes a period detection section which detects that a period is currently used for communication of a frame; a pattern detection section which detects, from the received signal, a first signal pattern by which the end of communication of the frame is recognized; and an output processing section which outputs the received signal to a controller, configured to instruct, upon detection of the first signal pattern in the period being currently used for communication of a frame, the controller to halt startup of communication action of the next frame, until the period being currently used for communication of a frame comes to the end, to thereby reduce an event such that frames are transmitted from a plurality of communication devices simultaneously, and to thereby allow the communication action for the next frame to proceed correctly.

    • Disclosed is an interface apparatus in a communication network for converting a frame, which has been received from a digital transmission line and has overhead and a payload, to ATM cells, assembling a frame using ATM cells that have been received from an ATM network, and sending the assembled frame to a digital transmission line. The apparatus includes cell conversion zone specifying means for defining, as a cell conversion zone, the smallest possible portion of a frame that contains the overhead data and payload, and generating a signal that specifies the cell conversion zone; pointer creation means for creating a pointer which specifies a predetermined position of the cell conversion zone as a reference position; and cell conversion means for converting data in the cell conversion zone into cells based upon the signal that specifies the cell conversion zone, and for inserting this pointer, which indicates the reference position of the cell conversion zone, in a prescribed cell. On the ATM-cell receiving side, the apparatus detects pointers, assembles ATM cells into a frame based upon the pointers and transmits the frame.

    • Disclosed is a machine for forming viscous fluid crude material such as dough or fish-paste into a ring shape or the like. The machine has a cutter device provided with a vertical passage and cutter means arranged at the lower opening of the passage. The crude material is forcely introduced into the passage through its upper opening and extruded from its lower opening. The extruded crude material is cut off by means of the cutter means. Moreover, the passage is partitioned at least in its upper portion into a plurality of sector-shaped sections by means of a separator. Accordingly, the formed crude material can be sectioned into a plurality of portions of different tastes and/or colors.
