摘要： A sheet conveying system which is capable of preventing a jammed sheet from being mixed with processed sheets, reducing waste in sheets and toners, and further alleviating the user's operations, when jamming has occurred during passing of a sheet between respective sheet conveying devices of upstream and downstream apparatuses. A puncher control section of a puncher as an upstream apparatus of the system issues a passing completion notification as to the passing of a sheet to a staple stacker control section of a staple stacker as a downstream apparatus of the system. Upon reception of the notification, when the staple stacker control section determines that the parameter of auxiliary information of the notification indicates an abnormal discharge of the sheet from the puncher, the staple stacker stops the conveyance of the sheet.

摘要： An image forming apparatus that can satisfy productivity at the time of double-sided image formation without jamming due to a collision of a succeeding sheet with a preceding sheet, and without upsizing of the apparatus. The image forming apparatus performs a sheet circulation transport for circulating and transporting a sheet to an image forming unit to perform image formation on both a first side and a second side of the sheet. The sheet is fed to the image forming unit at a predetermined image formation start timing for the first side image formation. The first side image-formed sheet is reversed, and re-fed to the image forming unit for the second side image formation while causing the first side image-formed sheet to wait at least one of sheet waiting positions. A full state where all the sheet waiting positions are full of the first side image-formed sheets is detected. The sheet feeding unit is controlled so that the number of sheets on which the sheet circulation transport is performed is greater than the number of the sheet waiting positions. When the full state detecting unit detects the full state, the sheet re-feeding unit is controlled so that a head sheet among the first side image-formed sheets waiting at the sheet waiting positions is fed in advance of the predetermined image formation start timing.

摘要： There is provided a printer control apparatus which can be applied to an image forming apparatus in which a plurality of types of readers and a plurality of types of printers can be connected to a single controller, and which enable efficient transfer of image data from the reader to the printer via an image memory of the controller. The controller receives image data from a reader and temporarily stores the same in an image memory, and transmits the stored image data to a printer. The controller acquires a reader processing speed from the reader and a printer processing speed from the printer, and determines, while the image data is being written to the image memory, timing for transmitting the image data written in the memory to the printer according to a difference between the reader processing speed and the printer processing speed and a sub-scan size of the image data. The controller causes the reader to start reading an original, and transmits the written image data from the image memory to the printer in the determined timing.
