摘要： A fixing apparatus includes a fixing roller, a heat roller, a seamless fixing belt, a pressure roller, a supporting roller, and a pressure applying member. The heat roller includes a fixing heat source. The seamless fixing belt is extended between the fixing roller and the heat roller. The pressure roller pushes the fixing roller via the fixing belt to form a second fixing-process area. The supporting roller contacts inside the fixing belt and winds the fixing belt around a surface of the pressure roller to form a first fixing-process area upstream of and next to the second fixing-process area. The pressure applying member applies a pressure to the heat roller in a direction opposite to an ejection of the recording sheet from the second fixing-process area to adjust a fixing pressure of the first fixing-process area.

The cooler includes an inlet port for drawing cooling air for cooling the light emitting tube; a flow channel that extends from the inlet port to the light emitting tube in a horizontal direction and that is for flowing the cooling air toward the light emitting tube; and a baffle plate that is disposed in the flow channel and that can slide in a gravity direction. The baffle plate has a shape and openings such that, in an installation state, an upper portion of the flow channel is opened and a lower portion of the flow channel is closed by the shape and positions of the openings of the baffle plate.

摘要： A fixing device includes two rollers to form a fixing nip and a separation plate assembly disposed near one of the rollers. The separation plate assembly includes at least one separation plate to separate a recording medium from the roller, a pair of contact members, a holding member having a rotation shaft at each end in a longitudinal direction thereof, to hold at least one separation plate and the contact members in a rotation axis direction, and a contact pressure adjuster to adjust a contact pressure of the contact members relative to the roller by bending a portion of the holding member holding one of the pair of contact members to the roller and to the opposite of the roller.
