摘要： A post-processing apparatus for an image forming apparatus includes a processing tray on which a sheet bundle is placed for discharging onto a discharge tray, a detector configured to detect presence or absence of the sheet bundle on the processing tray, and a controller. The controller is configured to control driving of the processing tray to discharge the sheet bundle onto the discharge tray and to determine whether or not to output an error if a detection result of the detector after the processing tray has been driven to discharge the sheet bundle onto the discharge tray indicates presence of the sheet bundle. The controller outputs the error if the sheet bundle is not a last sheet bundle of a post-processing job and does not output the error if the sheet bundle is the last sheet bundle of the post-processing job.

摘要： An image processing apparatus includes a first image processing unit comprising a first image heating portion, wherein the first image heating portion is selectively operable at a toner fixing temperature and a higher, image decoloring, temperature and thus can perform both image fixing and image decoloring therein, and a second image processing unit comprising a second image heating portion. At least one of the first and second image processing units further comprises a user input section for receiving a request to decolor one or more sheets. Upon receiving a user input to the input section requesting decoloring of one or more sheets, a controller of the image processing unit to which the request was input determines the operating status thereof, and determines if the request to decolor the one or more sheets can be currently performed therein.

摘要： A sheet processing system according to an embodiment includes a tray that supports a sheet on opposite sides of the sheet orthogonal to a conveyance direction of the sheet. The tray includes a first adjustable support and second adjustable support positioned opposite the first adjustable support in the direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction of the sheet. A skew sensor detects a skew angle of the sheet conveyed to the tray. A corner sensor detects positions of each corner on a front end in the downstream direction of the sheet conveyed to the tray. A controller controls movement of the first and second adjustable supports based on the detected skew angle and the detected positions of each corner on the front end of the sheet conveyed to the tray so that the sheet is conveyed to the tray without jamming.

A presence or absence of an identification mark on a front portion of the sheet outside of an image forming area of the sheet is detected, after detecting the front position of the sheet. A determination is made of whether an image formed with decolorable color material is printed on the sheet based on whether an identification mark is detected on the front portion of the sheet. When the image formed with decolorable color material is determined to be printed on the sheet, the image is decolored.
