    • To optimize an accelerator pump while maintaining serviceability of a carburetor. A drive lever includes an operating portion that slides in abutment along a cam projection formed on a cam and a transmitting portion for transmitting a swinging force in an increased magnitude by being provided in the vicinity of a spindle as a lever swing axis in comparison with the operating portion. A driven lever includes a receiving portion being capable of a swinging motion together with the drive lever about the spindle and receiving the swinging force by being in abutment with the transmitting portion and a connecting portion connected to an accelerator pump as a control unit thereof for controlling the flow amount of fuel are provided and the transmitting portion includes a screw mechanism for adjusting the angle formed between the drive lever and the driven lever and a cylindrical cover for covering the screw mechanism.

    • In a motorcycle engine, an air-intake port is opened upwardly, a throttle body is arranged so as to be inclined toward the front, and an idle-adjusting apparatus having an idle-adjusting lever is arranged at a position above a cylinder head and close to a cylinder head cover. The idle-adjusting lever is arranged at a relatively high position where a driver's hand reaches easily, thereby improving operability thereof. A fuel injection apparatus integrally includes the throttle body, an injector, and the idle-adjusting lever. The idle-adjusting lever is ergonomically arranged at a position substantially surrounded by the cylinder head cover, the throttle body and the injector, such that the idle-adjusting lever is arranged in a compact space, by which a compact layout of the engine is achieved.

    • In an internal combustion engine wherein an intake manifold for performing intake for the front and rear cylinders is placed in a narrow and high-temperature V-bank, to provide a structure of an intake device that does not allow an overall height of the internal combustion engine to become high. An intake structure of a V-type internal combustion engine includes a throttle body having a throttle opening sensor on one end of a throttle valve shaft that is provided so that an intake passage of the throttle body can extend in a crankshaft direction between front and rear cylinders. The center of the intake passage of the throttle body is disposed to be shifted to one cylinder side, and the throttle opening sensor is placed on a side where the center of the intake passage of the throttle body is apart from the cylinder.
