    • A driving system of the present invention for use in a displaying device is provided with a pseudo bit-depth extension section. In the pseudo bit-depth extension section, a noise pattern is added to upper-n-bit data of an input signal D0 in m-bit, where (i) m is an integer of 9 or greater, and (ii) n is an integer of 8 or greater, but less than m. Then, upper-n-bit of data D1 thus obtained from the D0 is outputted, as output data D2, from the pseudo bit-depth extension section. The driving system is further provided with an overshoot-driving section for carrying out an overshoot-driving with respect to each of pixels. A noise amount of the noise pattern is 1 or less in 8-bit data, and a calculation in the overshoot-driving section is carried out with n-bit data. With this driving system which adopts a combination of (a) a overshoot-driving method for enforcing liquid crystal to respond at a high speed, and (b) a bit-depth extension technology in which a number of grayscales is increased by adding noise, it is possible to provide, at a low cost, a high-definition displaying device such as a liquid crystal display, having a high-response-characteristics and a high quality of grayscale reproduction.

    • An evaluation apparatus of a liquid crystal display device in accordance with the present invention is provided with a signal section for supplying a signal to a liquid crystal panel to be evaluated; a display detection section for sensing a display state on the liquid crystal panel; an analysis section for analyzing a detection result of the display detection section. The signal section supplies to the liquid crystal panel a signal corresponding to an original tone and then, in accordance with tone transition from the original tone to an attainment tone, either (i) an overshoot test signal or (ii) both an overshoot test signal and an undershoot test signal in test driving, while sweeping either a level of the signal (i) or levels of both the signals (ii). The analysis section analyzes detection results of the display detection section obtained in the test driving and stores in association with the original tone and the attainment tone, a level of the test signal that corresponds to an optimum one of the detection results. With this, it is possible to easily and highly accurately obtain an optimum level of the overshoot signal or the undershoot signal for the liquid crystal panel to be evaluated.

    • A liquid crystal injecting device has a jig which seals an opening used as a liquid crystal inlet of the cell and another opening used as an air outlet of the cell separately. When obtaining a liquid crystal element by injecting liquid crystal into the cell, the liquid crystal is applied to the inlet before the injection, and after an internal pressure of the cell is reduced by releasing air from the jig, the liquid crystal is injected to the cell by being supplied to the inlet through a liquid crystal supplying tube. During the injection, a temperature of the cell is set to a temperature at which the liquid crystal takes a nematic, cholesteric, or isotropic phase, while air is kept being released. When the injection ends, the liquid crystal is further applied to the inlet and outlet, while being reinjected into the cell through all the openings at room temperature or above under atmospheric pressure or above, after which the cell is cooled.
