    • A dividing device in a disc accommodation section of a disc changer decreases the stroke of dividing the disc accommodation section at the time of changing a disc, thereby making the disc changer small. The dividing device is configured by having three levers fitted to a rotation axis. A first lever can rotate by 45 degrees and 90 degrees only by a rotation mechanism. The first lever capable of holding a movable rack is fitted to this rotation axis. A second lever and a third lever are fitted to the rotation axis adjacently to the first lever, and slidably on the rotation axis. The second lever holds a movable rack that accommodates a disc of which content is to be reproduced. The third lever holds other movable racks. Based on this mechanism, the disc accommodation section is divided into three parts at the time of reproducing the content of a disc. A disc can be taken out from a desired movable rack to reproduce the content of the disc.

    • A divisible stocker capable of housing a plurality of CDs is arranged in an enclosure of an autochanger apparatus. A rack mounting a PU unit, which is a reproduction head of a CD is arranged between the stocker and an opening of the enclosure. Transfer means for transferring the CD between the opening and the stocker is also mounted on the rack. The rack is vertically movable. When reproducing a CD, selecting any of the CDs in the stocker at first, turning a feed screw in a state where a pawl of a dividing sliding member is positioned below any of dividing projections arranged at corresponding position on the both sides of the stocker, causing a PU unit to advance into a space formed by raising the stockers above the selected CD, dividing the same and causing an upward displacement thereof, attaching the CD on a turntable of the PU unit by lowering the divided stocker, and transferring the CD to the turntable by displacement means which causes the PU unit to return to the PLAY position.

    • A disc changer has a disc pushing device that can be accommodated within a limited space and can securely push out a disc from a disc accommodation section in a simple structure. The disc pushing device includes: a rotation axis fitted to a casing of the disc changer; a first lever section having a first lever with a small turning radius provided in projection on a cylindrical body having the rotation axis; and a second lever section having a base connected to a cylindrical body using the rotation axis, with a part of the base slidably superimposed on the upper part of the first lever section, and a turning radius of the front end larger than a turning radius of the first lever. A driving mechanism first turns the first lever section, and thereafter turns the second lever section, thereby pushing out a disc from the disc accommodation section.

    • A disc changer has a protector which protects the operation of the disc changer even when an oscillation is applied to the disc changer, without adding a new oscillation sensor to the disc changer. In the disc changer that takes out a desired disc from a stocker with a swing arm and returns the reproduced disc to the stocker, an oscillation sensor monitors an output of a position sensor which detects a position of a member that rises and falls within the disc changer. Based on a variation in the output of the position sensor, the oscillation sensor detects a size of the oscillation applied to the disc changer. When the oscillation is larger than a predetermined value, the swing arm operation of clamping a disc and returning a disc to the stocker is temporarily stopped or is restarted, thereby protecting the disc changer from the oscillation.
