    • A wiper device includes a linking member to which a driving force is transmitted via a wiper motor; a rotating shaft fastened to the linking member; a lever portion, one end of which is fastened to the rotating shaft, wherein the lever portion is a plate member laid down in a plane in which the lever portion is rotated, and the lever portion has a bent portion which is bent toward an axis of the rotating shaft; and a wiper arm coupled with the other end of the lever member. The wiper device may further comprise a coupling shaft disposed parallel to the rotating shaft, wherein the other end of the lever portion is fastened via the coupling shaft to the wiper arm, and is closer to the wiper arm than said one end in an axial direction of the coupling shaft.

    • A wiper blade connecting structure having a wiper arm; and a supporting plate which is rotatably attached to the wiper arm and is covered by the wiper arm. A wiper blade is attached to the supporting plate and is rotatably supported via the supporting plate by the wiper arm. The supporting plate is contained in the wiper arm, and is not exposed and can be a small part. Typically, the wiper arm has a work hole for fastening the supporting plate to the wiper blade. The structure may include a cover member for covering the work hole, wherein the cover member has a fitting portion which is rotatably fit to a rotation shaft of the supporting plate. The structure may include a spacer mounted to the supporting plate, wherein the spacer has an extension which extends along a surface of the wiper blade.

    • An external mirror includes an indicator light and a case with a protruding portion whose outer face is arranged more outside than an outer face of the indicator light. Even when the external mirror hits or bumps against an obstacle, the protruding portion is the first and likely only portion which hits or bumps against the obstacle thereby preventing the indicator light from being damaged. Therefore, the indicator light will have to be replaced less frequently, thereby reducing a burden on the user. Typically, the protruding portion is provided below the indicator light. Accordingly, the indicator light can be strongly protected with respect to the contact from a lower side of the external mirror, where there are generally a relatively large number/percentage of obstacles. Preferably, the indicator light has a convex surface lens which protrudes toward outside of the external mirror. Preferably, the protruding portion has a ridge line between an upper face and a lower face of the protruding portion.
