    • The card reader connector for a SIM card comprising an insulative body and a cover pivotably mounted on pivot pins of the insulative body for movement between an open and closed position wherein contact portions of terminals mounted in the insulative body electrically connect with contacts of the card when the cover is in the closed position. The cover is slidably movable in a direction perpendicular to an axis of the pivot pins. A locking means is provided between the cover and the insulative body comprising an L-shaped engaging piece on the insulative body and a corresponding actuating piece on the cover which interengage when the cover is in its closed position to lock the cover to the insulative body. A leaf spring biases the cover in a direction away from the insulative body. The connector is characterized in that when the cover is moved to its closed position, it is slidably moved rearwardly, toward the axis of the pivot pins, to produce a spring force. Therefore, when the cover is in its closed position, it is in a fully locked position by the resilient spring force imparted by the leaf spring. The card reader connector therefore facilitates insertion and removal of the card and maintains its integrity and robustness irrespective of its small size.

    • A plug member is adapted to be fitted into a socket body in a first direction. The plug member includes a plug body formed with a groove extending in a second direction which is perpendicular to the first direction, and a plurality of plug contacts, each of which includes a first contact piece and a second contact piece which are opposed to each other with a gap therebetween. A first blade portion is extended from the first contact piece so as to oppose to the second contact piece. The plug contacts are arrayed in the second direction such that the first contact piece is disposed in the groove and the second contact piece is disposed on an outer face of a side wall of the plug body to be electrically connected with the socket body. A wiring member, in which a plurality of core conductors arrayed in the second direction and covered with an insulating sheath, includes a first portion adapted to be inserted into the groove in the first direction. A pressing member has a first part extending in the first direction, and attached to the plug body such that the first part is inserted into the groove, thereby pressing the first portion of the wiring member against the first contact piece in a third direction which is orthogonal to the first direction and the second direction. The first contact piece and the second contact piece are resiliently deformable in the third direction, so that each first blade portion bites into an associated one of the core conductors in the first portion of the wiring member, and the first portion of the wiring member is resiliently clamped between the first contact piece and the first part of the pressing member.

    • A socket body is formed with a recess elongated in a first direction. Socket contacts are disposed in the recess and arrayed in the first direction.     • The present invention relates to a connector for flexible conductive line components suitable for a lower mounted profile in a device mounted on a printed circuit board. The connector comprises a metal plate, resilient spring portions, and connection terminal portions wherein the resilient portions, which allow the metal plate and individual contacts to accommodate and clamp a inserted flexible printed circuit parallel with respect to the printed circuit board, are disposed such that the lengthwise spring extension thereof lies in the parallel direction, leaving the height unaffected. The metal plate further comprises a substantially U-shaped transverse cross section which affords both a low mounting profile and a stable connection that experiences minimal bending.

    • In an IC connector for connecting lead terminals of an IC package of the dual in-line type to terminals of a circuit board, first grooves and first projections are formed on two surfaces of a slide body. The main body has two walls each of which has a surface which has a plurality of second grooves and which opposes at least one surface of the slide body. One end of each connecting terminal is inserted in each second groove. When the lead terminals are inserted in the second grooves, the connecting terminals and the lead terminals are urged against each other.
