    • A repeater system and method for implementing within a mobile platform includes repeater circuitry configured for repeating signals between devices and signal sources such as base transceiver stations. The repeater circuitry has a plurality of configurable settings for controlling operation of the repeater circuitry. Movement sensors sense the movement of the mobile platform and controller circuitry is configured to use inputs from the movement sensors to determine a current path of the mobile platform and to compare the determined current path to the known path information for the mobile platform for determining the location of the mobile platform and repeater system to vary the configurable settings of the repeater system based upon the determined location. Other information such as identification information from a signal source or information from the mobile platform are also used to vary the configuration and configurable settings of the repeater system.

    • A method of monitoring an element in wireless communication system is provided. An operational noise measurement is obtained by measuring a noise value outside of a bandwidth of a first device, but within a bandwidth of a second, subsequent device. The operational noise measurement is alternatively obtained by tuning an input band of the element to shift the input band partially or completely outside of a bandwidth of a first device to create an open band or by suppressing an input of the antenna and measuring noise within the open bandwidth of the element of the wireless communication network. A stored parameter is retrieved and compared to the measured operational noise. Alternatively, a leakage signal of the element may be received at a signal receiver and compared to a reference. The reference is a function of components of the wireless communication system in a leakage path of the leakage signal.

    • An interface is provided for processing digital signals in a standardized format in a distributed antenna system. One example includes a unit disposed in a distributed antenna system. The unit includes an interface section and an output section. The interface section is configured for outputting a first complex digital signal and a second complex digital signal. The output section is configured for combining the first complex digital signal and the second complex digital signal into a combined digital signal.     • A PoE powered device and method of operation are provided. The device includes a first port unit configured to negotiate receipt of a level of PoE power from a power sourcing equipment. The power is received on a first pair of taps on a first communication port. The significant drawback of these digital repeaters is that the computational complexity or the processing speed has to be very high in order to guarantee, particularly when compensating for echo, that the necessary delay does not excessively impair the performance. The aim of the invention is to provide a structure of the repeater in which the computational complexity is reduced without this reduction having a negative effect on the performance during signal filtering and/or suppression of natural oscillation. To this end, the invention provides that in order to carry out bandpass filtering, adaptive pre-equalization and suppression of the natural oscillation, the components of the repeater in the uplink branch and downlink branch are arranged in a designated sequence, whereby duplex filters are used for coupling both repeater branches to the antennas. In addition, only one reconfiguration in the modules at the user is necessary in order to adapt to user-specific requirements. The invention is used in the field of digital repeaters for data systems technology and telecommunications technology.
