    • A number of sensors are distributively deployed in a network, either integrally disposed in a number of routing devices of the network or externally disposed and coupled to the routing devices, to monitor and report on network traffic routed through the routing devices. A director is provided to receive network traffic reports from the sensors for the routing devices, and to determine whether moderating actions are to be taken to moderate an amount of network traffic, based at least in part on some of the network traffic reports received from the sensors. In one embodiment, upon determining moderating actions are to be taken, the director further determines what kind of moderating actions are to be taken, including where the moderating actions are to be taken. In one embodiment, the director further instructs appropriate ones of the sensors to cause the desired moderating actions to be applied on the network traffic going through some of the routing devices. In one embodiment, the director, in cooperation with the sensors, also determines when and where moderating actions are to be relaxed, and causes such relaxation to be effectuated. In yet another embodiment, the director, in cooperation with the sensors, also determines when and where regulating actions filtering out certain types of network traffic destined for a network node are to be applied, and causes such filtering to be performed.

A method for providing an embedded terrain awareness warning system for aircraft being flown by a pilot includes providing a signal processing component, a protection component and a pilot vehicle interface. The signal processing component communicates with three-dimensional digital terrain elevation data and is able to take input data from aircraft sensors, aircraft computers or navigation systems and determine aircraft position and velocity. The protection component is in communication with the signal processing unit such that the protection component is able to determine if a potential controlled flight into terrain exists and is able to predict a recovery flight path to avoid terrain. The pilot vehicle interface communicates with the protection component such that the pilot vehicle interface can issue a warning to the pilot of the aircraft of impending flight into terrain, and issue a directive solution to prevent the impending flight into terrain.

    • An electronic component enclosure system with main channel configurations which constitute the four corners and vertical support of a multiple enclosures. The channels are essentially a right angle with a vertex of the angle chamfered, or a right angle of two faces with means for joining the same at the corners, irrespective of whether the means are a sharp bend, a chamfer, and the like. The lateral faces of the channel terminate in recessed gutters. The gutters are essentially a J-shaped reverse bend in most instances. The mating channels are in such a side by side relationship that they require a relatively sharp bend at the right angle of the sections which, in turn, presents a flush surface appearance from the front, and which can be RFI shielded since the vertical channels are all essentially imperforate.

    • The development of a main channel configuration which constitutes the four corners and vertical support of an enclosure is disclosed. The channel is essentially a right angle with the vertex of the angle chamfered which provides additional strength, and a pleasing sturdy aesthetic appearance. The lateral faces of the channel terminate in recessed gutters. The channel itself is symmetrical about a plane extending perpendicular through the chamfered face which connects the two side faces. The enclosure thereafter contemplates eight gussets, four at the top corners and four at the bottom corners. The gussets join cross ties at the two sides, and the front and rear, both top and bottom. Horizontal and vertical unistruts are provided in nestingly overlapped fashion interiorly of the main channels to add additional strength and also to secure the mounting channels which are positioned at various pre-selected locations.
