The system includes: high-energy and high-power batteries respectively designed for optimal production of DC power during high-specific-energy and high-specific-power propulsion; and battery health management systems configured to monitor state of charge and state of health of the batteries and generate battery status signals. The system further includes a propulsion load configured to produce propulsion force using power converted from power generated by at least one of the batteries and a system controller configured to allocate load power drawn from the high-energy and high-power batteries for use by the propulsion load in dependence on a propulsion phase of the vehicle and the battery status.

摘要： The present disclosure provides an electrically gear turbofan that includes a fan; a first spool shaft; and an electrical gearbox including: an armature winding connected to the first spool shaft and coupled to a power source; and a magnetic receiver connected to the fan, and wherein an air gap is defined between the armature winding and the magnetic receiver. The turbines and electrical gearing enable an operator to rotate the spool shaft at a first rotational speed; power an armature winding to generate an armature magnetic field, wherein the armature magnetic field rotates at a second rotational speed; transfer rotational energy via the armature magnetic field from the spool shaft to the magnetic receiver; and rotate the fan at a third rotational speed. In some aspects, the third rotational speed is controlled via a direction and a magnitude of the second rotational speed relative to the first rotational speed.

摘要： In one or more embodiments, a system for operation in a generator mode comprises a cryocooler to cool a superconducting coil. The system further comprises a flux pump to provide flux to the superconducting coil. Also, the system comprises a shaft of a prime mover to receive torque to rotate a rotor. In addition, the system comprises the superconducting coil to electrically interact with a main stator coil through a rotating magnetic field. Further, the system comprises a control stator coil to receive a current from a controller and to electrically interact with a non-superconducting coil. In one or more embodiments, a magnitude, phase, and/or frequency of rotating magnetic fields of the superconducting coil and the non-superconducting coil is varied in comparison to a magnitude, phase, and/or frequency of the magnetic field produced by the superconducting coil alone to control a magnitude, phase, and/or frequency of an output voltage.

摘要： A programmable alternating current (AC) load in communication with an equipment under test (EUT) is disclosed, where the EUT generates an equipment under test voltage. The programmable AC load includes an active load profiler (ALP) for creating current modulation load profiles that are sent to the EUT. The ALP includes a voltage source inverter, a control module in operative communication with the voltage source inverter of the ALP, and a grid-connected inverter having an AC side and a direct current (DC) side. The AC side of the voltage source inverter is in communication with the EUT for receiving the equipment under test voltage. The control module sends a control duty signal to the voltage source inverter indicating a switching frequency and a duty cycle of the current modulation load profiles.

The system may further include an inverter configured to set a main field winding of the ISVF generator into a motor state. The system may also include a second bus transfer switch configured to open and close a connection between a main armature winding of the ISVF generator, a power distribution bus, and a motor start driver configured to send a current through the main armature winding to generate a magnetic field pattern that causes the rotor to turn, enabling startup of an engine.
