    • An interconnect assembly includes an optical fiber cable, legs, connectors, and covers. The optical fiber cable includes a jacket and sub-units. The jacket has an interior defining a passage and the sub-units extend through the passage and include optical fibers extending lengthwise through the sub-units. The legs of the interconnect assembly extend from the passage on an end of the jacket, where the legs are continuations of or extensions from the sub-units such that the optical fibers further extend through the legs. The connectors are attached to the optical fibers on distal ends of the legs and the covers are attached to the connectors. The covers each include an end having a track for wrapping one or more of the legs over in order to package the legs and connectors, such as for placement of the legs and connectors within a pulling grip for installation of the interconnect assembly through a duct.

    • The preferred medicament dispensing cell (10) for use in an automatic dispensing machine (12) includes dual rotary platens (20,22). A storage platen (20) delivers medicament units (14) such as tablets and capsules from a storage section (86) to a discharge platen (22) in the discharge section (88) to deliver the units (14) to an outlet (50). In preferred forms, the platens (20,22) are sloped toward the respective peripheries in order to induce spreading of the units (14) into a single file for accurate counting during dispensing. The preferred embodiment also includes a discharge gate assembly (24) for receiving a medicament unit (14) in a gage chamber (108) to define the width of the discharge channel (110) leading to the outlet (50), and further includes an arcuate metering wall (26) shiftable into and out of the passage (84) between the storage and discharge sections (86,88) for metering medicament units (14) into the discharge section (88).

The apparatus may comprise a label dispenser, a vial placement assembly for orienting the vial and placing it onto a track, a pushing device for pushing the vial down the track into an adhesive side of the label, and a labeling gate for contacting a non-adhesive side of the label to smooth the label onto the vial. The apparatus may further comprise a label positioning device for correcting unwanted curling of the label, a stopper positioned to engage a portion of the pushing device as the vial contacts the label to cause the pushing device to release the vial, and a label-release switch configured to signal for the label dispenser to release a trailing edge of the label once the vial contacts the labeling gate.
