摘要： A stacker crane for handling containers comprising at least one horizontal cross member which can be moved in a crane travel direction and on which a crane trolley can be moved along and transverse to the crane travel direction. The stacker crane additionally includes a load receiving means for a container suspended on the crane trolley and being liftable and lowerable. At least one intermediate storage area for at least one container is arranged on the stacker crane. The intermediate storage area can be reached by the load receiving means and can be moved together with the stacker crane in the crane travel direction. The intermediate storage area is designed so as to be movable between an active position in which a container can be received and a passive position in which no containers can be received.
