摘要： Sensors are regularly used to understand physical processing by computing systems and measuring physical quantities using principles of Physics which are then calibrated to yield the value and unit of interest. Some works have tried to generalize analytics across domains. However, they do not consider the problem of selecting sensors for a given application or having sensors as a service bouquet for application developer. Embodiments herein provide a method and system for recommending sensors for an application using elements of service-oriented-architecture and design (SOAD). Herein, the system contains a catalog of services which contain sensors and associated pipelines. These pipelines are used by the application developer along with calibration and fusion models through an Integrated Development and Prototyping Environment (IDPE). The IDPE is used to create application specific artificial intelligence (AI) models which get validated/modified based on prototype environment using the IDPE, which is capable of accepting application deployment data.

摘要： This disclosure relates generally to a sensor based wearable fabric design for identifying distortion in movements and quantifying range of motion. Accurate quantification of multi-axial range of motion involved in complex movements of human body parts is challenging. The disclosure discloses a system and method providing a wearable fabric comprising a plurality of honey-comb structure with a plurality of adjacently placed hexagon structures. An optical sensor unit is placed on each side of each hexagon structure comprised in the plurality of honey-comb structures. A deformation of the plurality of sides of hexagon structure is determined to generate signatures of movement patterns of one or more body parts of a subject. Further, a comparison of generated signatures with stored signatures of the movement patterns is performed to determine an error indicative of a distortion in the movement patterns. The system and method accurately quantify range of motion with increased measurement accuracy.

摘要： This disclosure relates generally to categorical time-series clustering. In an embodiment, the method for categorical time-series clustering for categorical time-series associated with distinct subjects obtained from sensors. Based on the categorical time-series, the subjects are clustered into clusters by using a Markov chain model. Clustering the subjects include assigning each subject to a cluster. The subjects are assigned to the clusters by determining cluster-specific transition matrices based on a transitional probability of the subject's transitioning between states. A semi-distance function is constructed for each cluster-specific transitional matrix between the states at multiple time instances, which us indicative of a conditional probability of movement of the subject between the states at different time instance. Using an expectation maximization (EM) model, one or more latent variables of each of the cluster-specific transitional matrices are obtained to determine a likelihood of association of the subject to the cluster.

摘要： This disclosure relates generally to patient invariant model for freezing of gait detection based on empirical wavelet decomposition. The method receives a motion data from an accelerometer sensor coupled to an ankle of a subject. The motion data is further processed to denoise a plurality of data windows using a peak detection technique to classify into a real motion data window or a noisy data window. Further, a plurality of denoised data windows are generated by processing spectrums associated with each real motion data window and a plurality of empirical modes using an empirical wavelet decomposition technique (EWT). Then, a resultant acceleration is computed, and a plurality of features are extracted from the denoised data window which enables detection of freezing of gait based on a pretrained classifier model into a (i) a positive class, or (ii) a negative class.

摘要： Energy remains a critical challenge for continuous sensing: with low-capacity batteries, wearable devices require frequent charging. In contrast, installing sensors in everyday ‘smart objects’, such as kitchen cabinets, household appliances and office equipment, supports ADL detection via indirect observations on human interaction with such objects, but cannot provide individual-specific insights in multi-tenanted environments. The embodiments herein provide a method and system for energy efficient activity recognition and behavior analysis. Architecture disclosed utilizes a hybrid mode of inexpensive, battery-free sensing of physical activities performed by a subject been monitored during his Activities for Daily Living (ADLs). The sensing combines object interaction sensing with person-specific wearable sensing to recognize individual activities in smart spaces. The method and system disclosed quantifies a probabilistic approach that uses longitudinal observations of user-item interactions, over each individual episode, to compute the anomalous behavior of the subject.

摘要： A mobile device and a method for estimation of direction of motion of a user are described. The mobile device comprises an inertial sensor to capture acceleration signals based on motion of the user and a direction estimation module. The direction estimation module determines direction of gravity based on filtering acceleration values obtained from captured the acceleration signals using a low-pass filter to identify a plane orthogonal to the direction of gravity. The plane orthogonal to the gravity comprises two orthogonal axes orthogonal to the direction of gravity. Further, displacement values are evaluated based on a user input for placement of the mobile device with respect to user's body, and integration of the acceleration values across the two orthogonal axes with respect to time. A direction of motion of the user is estimated based on a ratio of the displacement values along the two orthogonal axes.

摘要： Currently automobiles use embedded sensors and computational powers for performance optimization. For better performance and maintenance knowing driver and driving style is important. It is known that driver identification can be achieved using dedicated sensors. Since these are external sensors they add to cost and also deployment of many sensors increases operational and maintenance overhead. Embodiments of the present disclosure obtain GPS data including trip information pertaining to a vehicle being driven by a driver and features are extracted from trip information which are ranked by comparing these features with features associated with trip information of other drivers to selectively identify and obtain ranked features. Value of each ranked feature is compared with value of corresponding feature pertaining to driving patterns and an abnormality score for each relevant feature is generated and the driver is authenticated based on the abnormality score.

The client device is connected with the server to transmit the data stream. The server outputs the processed sensing data upon processing the data stream and the task information by using one or more task specific models stored at the server. The processed sensing data is received from the server and provided to the applications.

摘要： A method and system for identifying personal context of a user having a portable mobile communication device at a particular location for deriving social interaction information of the user, wherein the user within a predefined range is identified using personal context of the user at the particular location and the identified personal context of the user is assigned with the confidence value. Further the current location information of the user within the particular location is obtained by fusing assigned confidence value. Further the proximity of the user in the current location is estimated by finding the accurate straight line distance between users. Further the two users having similar current location information at the particular location are grouped together with the predefined density criteria. Finally the social interaction information of the user is derived by multimodal sensor data fusion at the fusion engine and represented using a human network graph.

The method and system further comprises sensing and identifying a second portable communication device in vicinity of the first user, followed by transmitting a media access control address (MAC address) of the identified second portable communication device to a remote fusion server. Further removing redundancies pertaining to the identified second portable communication device based on the MAC address received by the remote fusion server using a fusion algorithm to determine the crowdedness at the determined location.
