摘要： A slippage prevention piece integrally formed onto a main socket unit of a power supply connector socket blocks undesired removal of a fuse from the power supply connector. A locking mechanism is included in the connector socket and connector plug to more reliably hold the power supply connector intact. The locking mechanism further aids in preventing the removal of the fuse from the power supply connector. The fuse is prevented from accidental removal by vibrations or contact with external objects. The result is a power supply connector having a fuse which is securely held in place.

The upper and lower terminal holding portions each have a plurality of terminals which are arranged in a row along the width direction of the socket body. The upper and lower terminal holding portions are arranged so as to face each other through a predetermined spacing. The connector socket further has a rib for maintaining the spacing between the upper and lower terminal holding portions for preventing both the terminal holding portions from being deformed so that they approach each other. The rib is integrally formed with the upper and lower terminal holding portions and arranged substantially at the center of the width direction of the socket body. The mated connector plug has a plate member which is inserted into the spacing when the connector plug is connected to the connector socket.

With this card connector, a card detection switch detects a state in which a memory card is fitted in an accommodating part of a housing through an insertion slot. The card detection switch has movable terminals and fixed terminals, and the movable terminals each have a card contact part which is displaced by being pressed by the memory card to be inserted, and a movable contact part which is displaced in a same direction as a direction in which card contact part is displaced following displacement of the card contact part. The fixed terminals are each arranged in the housing to project in a direction to interest the direction in which the movable contact part is displaced, and is slid against by the movable contact part when the movable contact part is displaced.
